Victoria sat in the living room of her new apartment for the first time, and she was surprised how happy she was. Right now, she was enjoying being in a private space where she didn't have to worry about doing anything.

"So?" Mariska asked, as she opened the door and joined her daughter again.

"Mama, I already told you that I love it."

"Okay, but I just wanted to make sure again."

"Next time you ask, I will tell you that I love it still. I can't wait to raise my baby here." Victoria smiled. She stood slowly and walked into the kitchen before grabbing the kettle she had sat on the stove.

"Do you know what you are going to do about Harvey? Because I don't want him around the house if he has to fly up here to see you." Mariska frowned as her daughter moved around the stocked kitchen and finished making tea for herself and her mother.

"Don't worry, Mama. He isn't coming anywhere near me and this baby. Anyway, he hates you guys just as much as he hates me. Especially since Daddy told him to go back home." Victoria replied as she carried two mugs into the living room. She passed one to her mother, before sinking back into her armchair.

"Eventually he is going to try and come back around. He'll want to be involved."

"No, he won't. Part of my divorce request is for him to give up rights to the baby. I have proof that he doesn't want the baby, so I don't think it will be that hard. But only as long as he signs the damn papers."

Victoria was in bed that night when her phone rang. It scared her at first since this is the first time she has been sleeping in her new bedroom before.

"Hello?" She yawned into the phone.

"Hey, baby." Harvey spoke, and Victoria's eyes shot open quickly.

"Harvey?"

"Yeah, it's me. I think we need to talk. This is the only time that I could call and know you'd pick up."

"I don't think we should be talking directly. Ask your lawyer to contact me." Victoria replied.

"Victoria Grace Lawrence-"

"Don't call me that! We are getting a divorce and I'm going back to my old last name."

"What about the baby? Does he not even get my name?" Harvey spat.

"No, she will not be getting your last name because you wanted me to either abort her or put her up for adoption. I refuse to put my child through pain just because you want to be an ass and put claim over a child that you didn't want to start."

"She? Our kid-"

"My kid is a girl. I haven't even told my parents yet, but I'm going to be having a daughter. You aren't getting anything." Victoria spat.

"Tori." Harvey breathed.

"What do you want now? Because I'm done talking. I want to go to bed."

"Get a ticket and fly down to see me in the morning. We can talk about everything and-"

"I'm twenty-six weeks pregnant, and will not be risking my life or my daughter's life just because you are too lazy to come up and see me. Just sign the damn papers and end this relationship's suffering."

"I love you, Victoria." Harvey huffed.

"Fuck off, Harvey. You don't love me, and if you do... you love me less than the airforce."

Harvey called Victoria every night at the same time, in hopes of her answering the phone. Victoria let him keep calling, but she refused to answer any of the calls. Victoria wanted to make sure that Harvey knew she wasn't going to let him walk all over her. She knew that her baby and herself didn't deserve to be treated the way that Harvey was treating them.

"I'm glad that we left the nursery empty so you could do what you wanted with it." Mariska smiled, as she helped her daughter put away a ton of jumpers.

"Yeah, I am too. Decorating a nursery really helps time to pass." Victoria smiled, as she opened the door and Mariska let out a small gasp as she looked at the pink walls.

"Tori?"

"Surprise." Victoria smiled, as she carried the clothes over to the dresser and started to tuck them away.

"Why didn't you tell us that you knew what the baby is?! We could have bought a ton of pink things!" Mariska exclaimed, as Victoria took the pile from her.

"I don't want her to be swallowed up by pink clothes and items. I just wanted to keep this a secret because it felt special." Victoria replied.

"Do you have a name for her yet?" Mariska asked, and Victoria nodded.

"I do, but I'm waiting for her name board. I don't know if I want to tell you yet." Victoria smiled, as her phone rang loudly from the living room.

She ignored it, and Mariska eyed her quietly.

"Baby-"

"It's Harvey. He's changing up his patterns. He calls me once at night and then once in the afternoon. He is trying to trick me into answering his calls, and I refuse to."

"Is he treating you like shit as usual?" Mariska mused, and Victoria nodded.

"Of course he is. It is what he is best at." Victoria sighed.

Once the phone stopped ringing, it started up again and continued for nearly an hour. By that time, Victoria had showed her mother everything having to do with the baby's nursery and eventually decided to tell her mother what she had decided to name the baby.

"I should just tell you the name, huh?" Victoria asked, as she squeezed the bridge of her nose. The sound of the phone ringing was giving her a horrible headache, and she wanted to get her mind off of it.

"Please tell me her name." Mariska smiled as she glanced back into the living room.

"I decided on Ruthie Grace. She's going to have our last name, since Harvey won't be a father to her and he doesn't deserve for her to use his last name." Victoria frowned, before hearing her phone go silent before it started up again.

"Tori, I'm answering it." Mariska spoke before she quickly walked from the room.

"Mama-"

"Yes?" Mariska asked once she answered the phone. There were several moments of mumbling, before Mariska hung up and turned to look at her daughter.

"Mom?" Victoria breathed.

"Harvey was in an accident. That was the hospital calling."
