William began paddling the boat going further out into the ocean, leaving behind the shores of Alenore. The water was much rougher than they expected, and the winds were just as harsh. Mackenzie was standing on the boat wearing a black cotton pants and a white shirt hanging out. William wore the same suit of clothes as the day before. They were at a good distance away from the city but close enough to see the faded buildings.

"May I ask how far?"

"I'll tell you when we get there," Mackenzie responded.

"My hands are beginning to tire; would you like to try?"

"No thank you," Mackenzie declined. "You're doing fine."

"Why am I doing all the work when you are much stronger and younger than I am?" William asked annoyed.

"You were a prisoner before I met you," replied Mackenzie. "You should be thankful I freed you, so row the boat a bit faster."

"You were sinking towards the bottom of the ocean when I saved your life. You should show me some gratitude," said William as he kept on rowing, while Mackenzie tried his best to ignore him.

The son of Hades kept on looking around the boat, observing the waters. He passes his hand through the waters while his friend William looks at him in a strange manner.

"Where is it? We've been searching for hours and yet we have found nothing." William's patience was beginning to run out as was the strength in his body.

"Stop complaining, it doesn't suit you," replied the son of Hades.

"Why don't you try rowing the boat? Only then will you feel my pain."

"Stop the boat," Mackenzie repeated.

"Finally," William replied, exhausted.

"Look there," Mackenzie pointed out.

When William looked over the boat he saw the colour of the water was different. The entire ocean was blue but the area where the boat floated on was crystal clear. Immediately Mackenzie began undressing himself. He took his shirt off and had folded his pants to his knees.

"Let us hope this is it, if not you'll have a lot more rowing to do." Mackenzie smiles while William seemed depress.

"If that's the case, then the Gods will be the least of your problem," William whispered to himself.

The son of Hades dives into the ocean heading deep towards the bottom of the sea. He went deeper and deeper holding his breath, and as he did he began to see the sword lying at the bottom. He swam faster and faster trying his best to reach it. Finally he did. He saw the sword laying on top a large mossy rock surrounded by tiny fishes and razor sharp corals. The sword was made from silver with a writing written across the blade. Mackenzie saw it and as he looked closer the words seemed unclear. On the pommel held a little red ruby stuck between it. The sword was twice the size of a normal blade and looked as if it was recently forged on the hour. He stretches his hand towards it and when he grabbed the handle nothing had happened. The sword had remained intact while Mackenzie kept on pulling with both hands. Cuts and grazes appeared on his back and ribs as he swam against the corals trying to loosen the weapon. Mackenzie leaves the sword and decided to swim towards the surface. Came along in a sudden rush was a strong storm. Mackenzie was tossed back and forth with the current, seeing trouble to even catch his breath. He struggled to reach the surface, drifting as the waves slammed against his face.

"Athena," he cried out.

The current started pulling him underneath the water, dragging him toward the floor of the ocean. He began fading away, he was close to losing his breath with his strength already gone.

Athena found him where he was. She grabs him by the hands, pulling him closer toward her as she hugged him tight. Together they both vanished and reappeared on Alenore's shore. He fell on his knees and began vomiting all the salt water he had swallowed. He then lay on the sands gasping for breath, with his cousin sitting beside him. He looked up toward the sky, watching as the dark clouds began to clear. The waves began to die and the sea became calm once more.

"Poseidon knew what we were up to didn't he? Is that the reason he stormed the sea?" Mackenzie asked.

"Yes," replied Athena. "When I went to challenge him, he sent Aries in his stead. Did you find the sword?" she then asked.

"Yes, but it was no use. I grabbed it but nothing happened, it wouldn't move. Do you know why?"

"I'm afraid not. You must go rest and have your cuts cleaned and dressed. I will search for answers," she replied.

"Wait," he then said looking around."Where is William?" Mackenzie had now come to the realization that his friend was missing.
