"I don't see any reasons why you shouldn't have a normal pregnancy," said Leo. "You're only five months pregnant, you should relax." The healer then left her side, taking his herbs with him as her father sat beside her on the bed.
"I hope you're having a boy," Silas told her, taking a mouthful of wine before continuing. "I can't imagine having another girl running around with your temper."
"Whatever gender my child is, I'll love him," Mackenzie confessed.
"He said him," the King laughed.
"It's out of context," Mackenzie told her father.
"Whichever it is, I just know that his or her blood will be much greater than the lines of Kings," she assured them, while holding onto Mackenzie's hand.
"You only say that because you know the child will be Immortal," said her father.
"No, that's not why I said it," Hailey admitted. "His or her's blood will be greater because the father is Mackenzie."
Mackenzie's eyes started watering when he heard what she said. "Thank you for saying that," he said hugging her.
"It's alright," she told him, giving him a quick peck on the lips.
"I'm going to be with you every step of the way. I'll be the best father the kid will ever know."
"I don't doubt it," Hades replied, as he appeared before them with the Phoenix sword in his hands.
"Hades," Hailey whispered.
"If Ares knew you were pregnant he would've killed you too," Hades told her, placing the blade beside her. "Luckily that necklace around your neck saved you."
"I don't understand. I had the necklace around my neck in Laveth and they still found us."
"The necklace is meant to hide you from those that mean to harm you. It's why Hera found you. It's the same reasons why the two of them never knew you were with child."
"It's a confusing thing," she admitted.
"Yes, it is."
"What brings you here?" Mackenzie asked him. "I hope it's not only to return an heirloom.
"I have a request," the God of the Underworld admitted. "If it's a girl would you mine naming her after your eldest sister Seraphina, she died when...."
"Done," Hailey said with a smile. "I love the name already."
"And if it's a boy, would you mind naming him Silas the fouteenth?" asked her father.
"Absolutely not," she quickly replied.
"I like the name Micah," Mackenzie confessed. "William told me his mother's good friend had the name, and he was a war hero."
"Sounds stupid," the King mumbled under his breath.
"I guess my work here is done," Hades said smiling, vanishing before Silas and Hailey started quarreling about suitable names.
