It was about the hour Legion promised his followers they'll soon be able to dine on good flesh. They started dancing and singing songs in their rubish language while William and Ava remained tied against each other in the centre of the hall surrounded by a circle of fire.

Legion knew how important it was to have a sacrifice offered to their Lord Hades. It would bring favour to him and his people. All William and Ava could understand from them was the name they were chanting, "Hades, Hades, Hades, Hades, Hades."

The bull headed creatures drank wine and were even making love to each other. Legion stood next to his throne while all of his people gazed upon him. They treated him more like a God than a Commander.

"My brothers, today is the day we eat the flesh of our enemies. Today we sacrifice them both to our true King."
The Minotaur's cheered him on when he finished. "Let the sacrifice begin."

"Wait," Mackenzie shouted.

The chanting and the dancing stopped almost immediately when they heard his voice. All the creatures began to stare at him, before staring back at their leader. When Ava and William first heard his voice they were both so happy.

"Intruder," shouted Legion.

"It would seem so," Mackenzie whispered to himself. "I see you have my friends," shouted Mackenzie. "I'll make you a deal. I am challenging you to a fight. If I win you will let me and my friends go, allowing us safe passage to the mountains."

"And what if you lose?" asked Legion.

"Then you will have us for supper." Amos stood beside him in shock.

Legion laughs together with his own people. "I accept your challenge human. Come quickly and let me kill you. I can't wait to taste your flesh."

Mackenzie and Amos left the entrance of the building and were slowly walking toward Legion. The Minotaur's weren't happy with their master's decision, if it was up to them they would have killed Mackenzie and his friends already. The creatures cleared a path for Legion to pass. His servant Kroger brought him two large axes that were made of pure silver. Mackenzie stood there waiting with a sword in his hand while Amos hid far from sight. The fight had begun between man and beast. Mackenzie swung his sword towards Legion but the ruler of the Minotaur's defended himself with one of his Axe while he took the other aiming it toward Mackenzie's head. The son of Hades ducked and rolled at the side of the beast, he then took his sword and cuts behind the creature's foot. The creature had fallen on his knees but in doing so he took his hand and trips Mackenzie. The demi-god had fallen on his back while an axe was coming his way. He rolled away repeatedly trying his best to not get hurt. Legion was back on his feet and each time he struck his axe he misses. Legion raises his hand to strike again but this time Mackenzie had struck him first.

While lying on the cold hard ground he stabs the bull like creature in its stomach. Legion fell on his knees gasping for breath while the son of Hades stood before him. "Do you accept defeat?" Mackenzie asked.

"Never," said Legion, spitting on Mackenzie's feet.

Mackenzie swung his sword towards Legion's neck, ending its awful life. The Minotaur's all stood in silence and was now bowing and kneeling before the son of Hades. Ava and William was released by the help of Amos, they were all relieved to know that they were once again safe. Kroger approached Mackenzie with a Minotaur's horn covered in gold coating. He kneeled before him and smiled.

"Whoever kills our master becomes our master, with this you can call upon us whenever you like."

Mackenzie took the horn as a gift and was looking at the thousands of creatures. "We all have one thing in common. We are all hated by the Gods. If the time ever arises when I may need your help in defending myself, I ask that you help me. I give you my word that one day you won't need to hide and starve as I have. You will all be free to live in safety. No more being hunted and being mistreated. You will all be under my protection and the protection of my father Hades."

The Minotaur's cheered him on because they all hated the Gods as much as he did. Mackenzie and his friends were now leaving the temple and were on their way to the mountains.
