Ginny POV:
Yes! We did it! Lord Voldemort has been defeated!
I pump my fist in the air and celebrate like everyone else. I look around and see Harry smiling, Ron and Hermione kissing, Neville with his sword in the air, Dean and Seamus laughing, just all kinds of happiness. But as I look around, I also see Parvarti crying over Lavender's body in the great hall. Walking in, I see Lupin and Tonks, side by side, Colin Creevy, and my eyes finally lay on my brother, Fred. I run over to him, along with the rest of the family. Although everyone else around me has watery eyes, I don't cry with the rest of them. I've never been much of a crier. I guess having 6 brothers around all the time toughened me up. At least, there were 6 brothers. One has died....
"Look! A Blibbering Humdinger!"
I look to see Luna Lovegood pointing at a window, with people around her. They seem to be trying to find this "Blibbering Humdinger", while Luna is actually looking at something else. I look to see Harry disappearing under his invisibility cloak, sneaking away. I smile at Luna, and seeing me, she smiles back. I walk over to her, and her smile grows wider.
"Some day, huh?" I say casually.
"Yes. Hopefully my dad won't be too mad that I fought in it," she replied.
"What makes you think that?" I ask.
Luna's smile fades a little. "Oh, it's just that I think that he'll be mad because I was in danger of getting hurt. It doesn't matter much anyways."
"It doesn't matter much? Your dad should be amazed! You helped Harry find Ravenclaw's lost diadem!" I exclaim, but Luna just smiles and takes my hand.
"I know, Ginny," Luna says wistfully. "How do you feel? That this battle is over, I mean."
I think for a little before replying with, "Oh, I feel so happy. This is what I intended to do the moment I signed up for Dumbledore's army."
"Same." Luna stares dreamily in the distance, probably thinking about all those lessons with Harry. "I've never stunned someone before, you know. But after Harry's lessons, I was able to stun people exactly where I wanted it to be stunned. Did that make sense? I don't know...."
I smile. "I like you like this, Luna. When you're all bouncy and fun."
"Do you? No one else does. They all think I'm weird."
"Of course I do! It's like you have this radiant energy that makes the air so...energized." The words come out of my mouth before I stop to think. I press a hand to my mouth, and Luna giggles.
"It's fine, It's fine. You know, you kind of have that energy too. The energizing energy. It's what makes me motivated to start the day sometimes," Luna says shyly. I blush. I'm what makes Luna motivated?
"Well, I'm glad to know that I have a purpose," I say cheerfully. Luna scratches her arm awkwardly before agreeing.
"Students!" Professor McGonagall exclaims suddenly. We all look in her direction, while she steps up on a table. "We have a few matters to discuss!"
"First of all, all exams, tests, clubs and classes will be cancelled!" She waits as everyone let's out cheers, myself and Luna included.
"Second, we will need all your help to rebuild this school. Although magic is very helpful, it can only take us so far, so for the next few days, we will be rebuilding every part of this castle." A few people groan, but Professor McGonagall doesn't notice.
"If any people's parents are coming to pick their children up, please tell them to send a letter to your head of house first. For the Slytherin's, tell your parents to send a letter to Professor Slughorn instead, Slytherin's temporary head of house." The Slytherin's look very solemn, probably mourning the loss of Professor Snape, but everyone else cheers silently.
"If anyone is injured, please head to the hospital wing, Madam Pomfrey will be there to assist you. However, seeing as she is currently very busy, I advise those who are uninjured to help her."
"Lastly, I would like to give everyone who fought in this battle a round of applause. Although you might have only done a couple of spells that didn't aim death eaters, you still helped." Professor McGonagall starts clapping, and I see Luna join in enthusiastically, and before I know it, everyone else is clapping, cheering, even shouting. I look at Luna, and she has a huge smile on her face. When everyone stops clapping, Professor McGonagall waves us off and lets us go. Turning to Luna, I sigh.
"I guess we have some work to do."
