Ginny POV:

Woo hoo! School's almost done!

I look at my four-poster bed before grabbing my Quidditch gear and go outside, thinking of summer. School is so close to being done, I can practically smell it. Ok, maybe that wasn't the best way to put it, but still. We only have 2 days left, so I want to make these days count. I go outside and head out to see the Quidditch pitch for possibly the last time this school year. Smiling, I go inside the changing rooms to see...Luna?

"Hi! I came to see you, because I thought you were going to practice Quidditch and I wanted to watch. I won't bother you much," Luna says cheerfully. As much as I don't want Luna of all people to see me practice, I think to myself, well, why not. She's Luna, after all. How could you ignore her?

"Sure. Oh, if you want, I can teach you after, if you want!" I say, and Luna's eyes light up.

"Ok!" she says happily. She starts to walk away, but I don't really want her to go, so I grab my jacket and hastily say, "Luna! Wear this, otherwise you'll be cold." I inwardly cringe at what I said. Why do you have to be such a romance cliché to your obvious friend? It's not like you like her!

"O-Oh, thanks!" Luna accepts the jacket gratefully, pink in the face. I blush too, embarrassed. Hey, a voice pipes up in my head, you've never blushed this much before. You don't like her, do you?

I watch as Luna pulls the jacket on, and I go out to the Quidditch pitch and score some goals. I see Luna cheering for me every now and then, and I feel my heart beating faster every time it happens.

"Here," I say about an hour later, "grab a broomstick. Your Quidditch gear should be there."

"Thanks," Luna says, taking off her necklace. I pick it up with interest. "What is this?" I ask.

"My necklace. It keeps away the nargles."

"Luna, do nargles actually exist?" I say flatly.

"Well, I used to think they do, but now...."

"What makes you think that they aren't real?"

"I don't know. I just have a feeling that my dad is lying about them," Luna replies, shrugging. "Actually, speaking of my dad, he sent me a letter telling me that he won't be at home during the summer. He's trying to find crumple-horned snorkacks halfway around the world, you know. Ok, I'm ready."

"Great," I grunt, pulling the quaffle out. "C'mon, let's shoot some goals. I'll be the keeper, you be the chaser."

"Sure," Luna says, and we set out shooting goals. I watch Luna climb her broom and set off, yelping. I laugh along with her, and I shoot up next to her.

"Catch it!" I exclaim, throwing her the quaffle. Luna catches it and almost loses her balance, before looking at the quaffle. I fly over to the hoops and tell her to try to shoot a goal. Luna does so, throwing it. I watch the quaffle shoot way over the hoops, and out of sight. I fly over to where the quaffle was thrown, and I see it in a tree. I reach for it, but Luna gets there faster.

"Got it!" she exclaims, and I pout before we both laugh. "C'mon, we should get back."

"Not if I get there first!" I say, and we speed off trying to get to the Quidditch pitch with a competitive spirit. I fly over trees and bushes, but Luna isn't as agile. I hear a shout, and to my horror, I watch Luna fall head first into a tree and fall off her broom. "I got you!" I cry, flying over. Luna falls at such a speed that I have to lunge to get her. I catch her, and she yelps.

"S-Sorry!" she exclaims, looking around frantically and turning pink.

"It's fine, It's fine," I say hastily, looking for Luna's broom.

"I completely lost track of my broom, I don't even know how I lost control!"

"Ah, well, must be the nargles," I say, laughing. Luna laughs along, and I can't help but blush. I brush off the thousands of comments going through my head while finding Ginny's broom. It's just a platonic thing, just a platonic thing, just a platonic thing....

"L-Luna, how would you like to stay at The Burrow during the summer?" The words are out of my mouth before I know it, and I turn red, furious at myself. Luna, on the other hand, beams.

"Of course!"

"Ok, great. Really excellent. I'll tell my mom."

Luna nods, before I see something. "I found your broom!" I say, speeding towards it. Luna grabs it and thanks me, but I don't hear a single thing over my thoughts.

Why did you ask her to stay? Do you like her?
