Prologue

Yue Shen is a 27-year-old woman who just finished the FBI academy. She is an Arts Major who specializes in art history, and her dream job is to recover stolen artworks. She was born in China, but her parents emigrated to the US when she was 8. She lived in Washington DC with her family most of her life, even through college. Her parents are traditionalists and disapprove of Yue being independent and living far away now that she has moved to Florida to join a new FBI undercover operation that her family knows nothing about. What they want for her is to settle down and have children, especially since they have no idea Yue has become an agent for the Bureau.

Dylan Wang is a talented painter, so skilled in the art that he can copy any famous artist flawlessly. His father, Wei Wang, is the head of an international criminal organization that operates in the Americas and Asia. He initiated his son in the circle; however, he has always considered Dylan a softie because he refused to engage in violent activities. Dylan was born in China, but his family moved to Florida when he was 5. Now he is 25. He loves living in The Sunshine State, which is fun and so different from his family's culture. He has a subconscious rejection to his past and his origins. He speaks Spanish fluently, as most Floridians, except he learned the language to annoy his family and date Latin American women that would exasperate his dad.

This story takes place in the USA.
Yes, I took Dylan and Yue out of China for once! I wanted to try something different and I truly hope you will like it.

Just a couple of things before you start reading:

1. If you have read my other fanfictions, you already know my style. I try not to be too explicit in my language. And if I say cookies are coming, then there will be a romantic and intimate scene (or a whole chapter) happening 🤭🍪.
PS: Sometimes I don't give much warning about "cookies" because I feel it interrupts the flow and takes away the element of surprise 🤭 If you absolutely need to know in advance, dm me.
PS2: If you don't know why I call them cookies, you need to read Back to You 😉.

2. This story to me is like a TV series where Dylan Wang and Shen Yue get to act. (Back to You is my official DiYue story where I wrote them as themselves in real life, if that makes sense.) 🥰

3. Expect this story to be long. 😅 Have patience and enjoy the ride! The draft has almost 100 pages and it's not the whole story yet. I usually add chapters as I publish too...

7. I use Dylan Wang and Shen Yue as names and main characters because I want them to work together again! I hope you understand that. It's not a lack of imagination. 😉
