When Yue arrives at her parents' house, it is dinnertime already. The Shens are eating at the table when their daughters come in, surprising them.
Lina picked Yue up at the airport with her husband and their little toddler, Yue's niece, Mei. Lina promised she wouldn't leave Yue alone and she plans to keep her promise. She will stay in her old bedroom as well.
Yue's parents are strict, demanding and authoritarian. They had a plan for each of their daughters, but Yue rebelled in the end. Lina, on the contrary, has been the perfect child. Truth be told, she had the great advantage of falling in love with the man that the Shens wanted her to marry. Yue did not have that privilege.
