Three weeks later

Yue and Dylan have been actively organizing the wedding—which is really a renewal of vows but only a few people actually know the truth—and preparing for Dylan's settlement meeting with the FBI. Yes, Sofia obtained what she was aiming for. Dylan does always say she's a shark.

By the way, Caesar will be conducting the vow-renewal ceremony, and they will have the celebration at The Fontainebleau Hotel on the shore. This is Miami Beach after all.

The couple officially moved to the penthouse, although Dylan has a surprise wedding present for Yue that he hopes she will like, because the idea of living in the penthouse with a baby gives him the creeps. What if they get distracted—such distraction always involves canoodling or painting with Yue in Dylan's vivid imagination—and the child jumps down the window? No, no, no. A house, on the ground floor, is much safer for a child.

At the moment, Yue and Dylan are getting ready because they have a meeting with Sofia to discuss some details prior to the settlement meeting with the FBI, that will take place tomorrow. Yue cannot attend that meeting in particular; nonetheless, she will accompany Dylan today because she doesn't allow him to be alone with Sofia anymore. No matter how much the woman helps them, Yue still does not trust her.

Not in a million years!

Yue is in front of the mirror, examining how she looks in the white knitted short dress that she chose for the encounter. She is aware of how much Dylan drools over her legs, how he cannot resist touching her velvety thighs; thus, this dress will make sure his mind is focused on his wife and no one else. But, in case her legs are not sufficient to keep him on a tight leash, Yue is wearing a white shirt that she will conveniently leave unbuttoned enough to exhibit some tempting cleavage. The poor guy is toast.

Yue grins mischievously as she proudly studies her curves and runs her hands on her feminine waist. Sofia who?

When she's about to remove her home socks–her feet are always cold in the penguin habitat that is Dylan's place–her phone chimes. She quickly darts to the nightstand to pick it up and she freezes as she reads the alerting notification:

《 Did you forget to input your period? 》

Oh-oh.

"Oh, no. How is this possible?" she mutters under her breath.

Suddenly, her mind is flooded with a whirlwind of bizarre memories from the past weeks. Her breasts have been tender, but she thought it was because of premenstrual symptoms, her sense of smell has heightened exponentially, she has been craving sweets for breakfast, which she never did before, and she has been moody, skipping from one emotion to the other in a matter of seconds – again, she thought it was just Aunt Flo coming soon or the jitters from the wedding party. And last but not least, she recalls how stupid they were to forget using anti-babies during the painting marathon they performed after Dylan's release. She admits she was so engrossed that she never once thought about protection.

Oh, holy crap!

With her cold hands shaking, she scrolls through her phone and opens the fertility app. She taps on the 'calendar' button and gasps, covering her mouth with her hand, shocked. She is 8 days late, something that has never happened before.

"Omigod!" she screams, and Dylan comes running from the kitchen, startled.

"Sweetie, what is it? Are you okay?" he asks and gently places his hands on her upper arms. But Yue's head is bent down, and she's staring at her phone.

"Didi..." Yue sounds mortified.

"What?" Dylan sits on the bed and pulls her to his lap. "What happened, cookie? Is everything okay?"
