The little honeymoon in Key West ended better than it started. During the next few days, Dylan and Yue were blissfully floating on cloud number nine, enjoying every second together, painting in the room and chillaxing on the beach.
Today, they return home and Dylan knows it's time for Yue to see her present, the one that was too big to carry around.
When they arrive in Miami Beach again, instead of going straight home, Dylan takes a detour. About 10 minutes away from the penthouse, there's a gated community and Dylan stops at the entrance to identify himself.
"Didi, what are we doing here?"
Dylan raises his hand to ask Yue to hold on a minute because the guard is waiting for him to say his name. "I'm Dylan Wang."
The man checks the computer database and then gives Dylan a nod of approval. "Welcome home, Mr. Wang," and proceeds to open the gate.
Yue is gaping at her husband in disbelief. "What did he mean by home?"
Dylan presses the gas lightly and the car starts moving down the two-way road. "You'll see," he smirks.
Yue looks around and takes in the nice houses to the right and the small lake on the left. There are swans and ducks cheerfully splashing in the water, which she focuses on for a while.
Dylan notices her interest in the cute animals and flashes her a quick glance. "I already asked, and they said no."
Yue's brows unite questioningly.
"They told me there are no alligators in the lake. But we still need to be careful, just in case."
"Oh." Yue shrugs. She wasn't thinking about that, but of course her hypochondriac husband has already pictured himself being dragged into the water by a beast and drowning hopelessly at the bottom of a filthy, murky lake.
After a couple of right turns, the car pulls over in front of a beautiful two-story house. Dylan turns off the engine, glimpses at the property and gestures to it with his chin. "That is our new home."

To say that Yue is amazed by the property is an understatement. The house is gigantic. The only house she has ever been to that's bigger than this is the one that belongs to her in-laws.
Dylan decides to give Yue a tour of the empty rooms, starting from the ones upstairs. "There are 4 bedrooms. One is the master suite, which is awesome! Come and take a look at it!"
Yue hasn't said a word. She is unable to process this unexpected information.
The master suite is indeed wonderful. It's like a mini apartment, and the best part is the privacy it provides. It has a huge walk-in closet and a private balcony! The ensuite bathroom has a shower and a bathtub, plus two separate sinks.
