After speaking with Sofia, Yue decided not to go to the prison as a regular visitor anymore. It would be useless. However, her mind would not stop overthinking, images of Dylan with bruises constantly popping up in her head even if she had not seen him yet.

That day, Yue went straight to the office -which is only partly operational at this point- and with the help of Darren and Caesar came up with a plan to see him.

The boys were extremely upset to hear Dylan has been having a harder time than necessary in jail, therefore, Caesar has decided to take matters in his own hands regarding his safety.

Two days later

"Wang!" a guard calls out at Dylan, who is lying in his bed, staring at the ceiling, wheezing, his arms wrapped around his torso.

"Yes?" he mutters.

"Come with me. The warden wants to see you, move your ass!" he orders, not caring about Dylan's wretched physical condition.

Dylan sits up with difficulty, his arms still enveloped around his torso as if trying to keep his body together, and grunts, frustrated by the throbs of pain that overwhelm his nervous system.

At a snail's pace, he lowers his feet to the floor, unenthusiastically stands and shambles towards the corridor, looking worn out.

The guard seizes his arm decisively and begins to conduce him towards the office.

"No handcuffs?" Dylan interrogates, creasing his forehead. This is strange.

"Just move your ass, Wang!"

Gosh. Alright.

The walk takes a few minutes because the warden's office is on the other side of the compound and Dylan can barely keep up with the guard.

As they silently travel through the long, depressing hallways, Dylan wonders what the superintendent of the prison might want with him. He only saw the man once when he arrived at this unwelcoming place -which, by the way, is not the same one where he stayed before, and he does not know why- and cannot think of any reason why he'd want to see him.

Even though other inmates have been picking out on Dylan, no one seems to care. So, why is he suddenly on the warden's radar? Hopefully, the other inmates won't think Dylan is a snitch, because he is in enough trouble as it is merely for being his father's son.

When they get to the office, the guard knocks on the door two times and the warden opens quickly after, but he keeps a hand on the handle and conceals the view to the room with his body and the half-closed door. All Dylan can get a glimpse of is a messy desk behind the man.

"You asked me to bring Wang, sir."

"Yes, thanks. Come back in one hour to get him."

"Yes, sir."

The warden keeps an eye on the guard until he's out of sight while Dylan is standing outside the office, baffled and in pain, wondering what in the world is going on.

"Come in," the man commands and ushers him in.

Dylan takes a single, diagonal step inside and remains by the wall, observing carefully what the man will do. What happens next leaves him even more confused - the warden exchanges places with him, exiting.

"Sir?" Dylan follows the man out with his eyes, a distrustful expression on his face.

"One hour, Wang. I'll be back in one hour!" he exclaims as he walks away, not turning around.

Dylan whirls his head from side to side to understand what is going on and decides to move the door out of the way to get a better look of the room, in case he is missing something or someone, because he can feel a person's presence and it's making him uncomfortable.
