A couple of weeks later

Dylan and Yue have spent two more amazing and passionate weekends together. Those days at the penthouse are akin to little honeymoons they enjoy enormously because they give the couple something to look forward to all week.

Besides, they cannot believe more than a month has gone by since they got hitched in Las Vegas. If everything goes well, Dylan plans to give Yue a real wedding once he is a free man with a clean slate. Right now, being secretly married and making sure no one else finds out -except for Darren and Caesar who already know- is exhilarating. It makes the relationship much more exciting.

Today is Monday again, and they arrived at work late as usual in the morning because none of them wanted to get out of bed; they kept asking one another for one more kiss and 5 more minutes snuggling. It's always hard to go back to reality and even harder to keep living separately.

One might think they have addressed the issue already, but they haven't. Dylan is still convinced the weeknights arrangement is the best for Yue while Yue still lacks the courage to ask him if he'd like to move in. Maybe today she'll be bold enough to say something?

The elevator opens on the 5th floor and Yue grabs Dylan's hand tightly. He looks down at their joint hands and his mouth tips up adoringly. The fact that Yue loves him so much always makes him feel special. She's not needy or clingy, she is strong and independent. She made it into the FBI, which is astonishing since so many people try and only few succeed. She's smart and capable, and beautiful. Knowing that such an awesome human being needs him and wants to give him all her love causes Dylan's chest to tighten and his heart to skip a beat whenever he reflects on it.

They walk towards their apartments with thoughts twirling in their minds. When they stop in front of the doors, Dylan faces Yue and gives her a kiss on the forehead--on weekdays he never kisses her lips, it would make it more challenging to stay apart.

"I'll take a shower and come over for dinner, alright?" That's the usual drill.

Dylan turns around towards his door, but he feels a tug on his arm and his body springs back to find Yue's big and glimmering eyes staring intently at him. His pulse quickens, he knows she wants something from him.

"Let's shower together..." she begs feebly, her heart racing like a speed train, terrified of being rejected.

But how can he reject her? He tries--his brain sends the signal to his mouth to say the word 'No,' but his lips refuse to obey the command.

Dylan seizes Yue's other hand and pins them both above her body against the hallway wall. Eyes fixed on one another, he leans down to brush her lips and stops there, his breath coming out in heavy exhales that wash through Yue's face and make her knees wobble.

"Why?" he mutters against her lips while his nose brushes her cheek. "Why do you want us to shower together?"

Yue closes her eyes and catches a breath when a thud coming from the apartment interrupts them.

Dammit! Yue was about to tell him she doesn't want to sleep without him anymore. Instead, both snap out of the moment and glance at Yue's door.

"It's probably Whiskers. Carol texted me saying she dropped him off this morning before school because she's spending the night at a friend's house," Yue explains.

"Oh. Um... Well, see you later then..." Dylan turns around again and Yue instinctively snatches his hand.

That's it. Being aware of how much Yue wants him is too much to handle.
