Tw: Body Shaming, Emotional abuse

The old alarm clock that nobody bothered to replace was ringing out, its ear piercing rings waking up a very tired Sapnap. He had only managed to get a few hours sleep last night due to his parents fighting.

He opened his groggy eyes, attempting to wipe the dry sleep from the corners. His clock displaying 5:30am. He pulled himself out of his warm cozy bed, dreading the new school term that awaited him. He quickly got dressed into his clothes he decided to wear to school; not wanting to look to fancy on the first day. He didn't have the motivation to try anyway.

He wore a plain white shirt, loose black jeans with his favourite blue hoodie, at least he should make himself feel worth something, right? He didn't waste time fixing his brown messy hair, only fixing a few loose strands before grabbing his school bag and walking into the hallway.

He looked around before pursuing the kitchen in search of some food, not wanting for any of his friends to have to buy him food again. He spotted an apple sitting in the center of the bashed table. He swiftly swiped it into his hand, thinking he had got ready unnoticed by anyone.

"You don't deserve that, you're fat enough. You need to lose weight, you fatty" came a strong voice from behind him. Sapnap was frozen in spot, confused as to how he didn't hear the man he sadly calls his father.

"I haven't ate since 5 yesterday, I'm hungry" he answered not wanting to turn around in fear of more harsh words being thrown at him. The man scoffs walking closer to the scared boy cowering in front of him. "I SAID you need to lose weight!" he shouted at the back of Sapnaps head, him flinching at the sudden shouting.

"O-Okay I'm sorry.." he stuttered slowly placing the apple down onto the table looking at it longingly. He didn't want to say more in fear or angering the already fuming man for no reason. "I need to get going, school y'know" he laughed nervously turning around to face his father.

"Get going, I can't even bare to look at you anymore" he said with pure venom in his voice. Sapnap was hurt by the words, even though they're said to him anytime he is within the horrible house.

He didn't say anymore walking towards the door, looks like he'll have to get food from his friends after all. Great now I'll be even more of a burden  he muttered to himself as he walked out of the wretched house, slowly walking down the path in direction of the school.

He heard a vehicle of some sort following him, he didn't want to turn around in fear it was his father. "Hey Sap!" it was his best friend Dream. The only person who genuinely cared for him. This meant a lot for Sapnap knowing he had someone, someone who worried about him, who asked questions, who cared about his day.

"O-Oh! Hey Dreamy Poo!" he said, hiding all traces of his fear, apart from the stutter. Dream's eyes widened as he realized his friend probably didn't get out of his house in time and had an 'encounter' his parents. Sapnap always woke up as early as he could to try and escape his parents in the morning, Dream would do the same so Sapnap wouldn't have to walk to school all alone.

"Didn't get out in time, huh?" Dream questioned, Sapnap smiling at how well his friend knew him. "You guessed it. Hey uh.. did you happen to bring spare breakfast with cha?" Sapnap asked, scratching the back of his neck. He hated having to ask more from Dream, he already does so much for him. "I didn't have time to grab some before I left" he followed, leaving out his encounter with his father.

"Yep, its not much but is this okay?" Dream replied pulling out a chocolate bar from his lime green hoodie pocket. Sapnap's face lit up at the sight of food. Dream handed it to him, Sapnap ripped the wrapper off and started eating straight away. He spoke, his mouth full of the chewed up chocolate. "Yesh, thank you so mush". Dream smiled at the sight of his friend eating something. "I'll get ya something better at lunch Sap, I know you don't have money and hurry up and get in its cold" Sapnap realized he had been standing in the cold misty morning air.
