TW: Mentions of self harm, Self harm, panic attack and mean things? (Abuse and bad treatment from parents)

Sapnap woke up from his yet again, bad sleep. His phone still in hand after his late night chat with Karl. Karl had really cheered him up, it was a nice break from all the horrid shouting. He felt bad for keeping Karl up so late, but he learned a lot about Karl.

How Karl liked to paint his nails but was too scared to have them painted in school, fearing what people might say. Sapnap tried to convince him to do it, he thinks it would be nice for Karl to be himself. He'll just have to wait and see if he did enough convincing.

It was early morning and Sapnap had to get ready for school. He checked his old alarm clock seeing it was later than the time he would normally wake up at. He started to panic realizing both his lousy parents would be downstairs and he had no way of avoiding them.

He started to pace quietly around his room, thinking about ways to get around them without being noticed. He could just climb out the window right? No it was too far a drop, he would get hurt. Wouldn't matter if I got hurt, I deserve it the hurtful thoughts raced through his mind as he thought of all the possible ways to avoid confrontation.

His hands started shaking as the situation was becoming more real to him. Be more manly you wimp, it's only the truth they're going to say. Go and suck it up. He thought yet again, voicing the words his father mainly said to him, about 'maning up'. He started finding it hard to breath as his panic and anxiety started taking over.

He reached for his phone, dialing the first number he saw, Dream. "H-Hello? Dream i-i-it happened again. I-I don't know what to d..do." he tried to seem calm but he was too far into his panic attack to fake being fine. "Sapnap?! What's wrong?? What happened, are you okay??" Dream spoke quickly from the other end of the worrying phone call he recieved, too fast for Sapnap to comprehend while his mind was racing already thinking of the horrible things waiting to be said to him.

"Nick, please. Calm down, okay? Breathe with me, in.....hold alrig-" he was cut off by Sapnap not being able to hold his breath, Dream rarely called him by his real name. "Sap I've already drove down the road twice looking for you and you haven't arrived yet, is everything okay?" Sapnap still hadn't said anything, too busy thinking.

"Hey" Dream spoke in a softer voice. "I'm here with you okay? You're not alone, whatever it is, it's not going to be that bad Sap. I promise. let me help you" He continued speaking, Sapnap listening trying his best to speak, not wanting to worry his friend. "I-" he tried to speak but choked trying to hold back his tears. "Take your time, I'm still here. Try controlling your breathing" Dream spoke, being patient with his friend.

Sapnap took a few minutes to try and compose himself, doing what Dream told him to do, control his breathing. "I woke up late Dream, I have to face t-them. I'm not able to handle it right now" His voice broke trying hid best not to cry.

"I-I'm sorry Dream, I'll be at our place in a few" Sapnap ended the call before Dream could protest. He looked at himself in the mirror and got dressed quickly. He readied himself, grabbed his bag and walked out his door. Wiping tears off his face, whispering words of encouragement to himself.

He spotted his parents in the kitchen. "Morning" he said to them, making his presence known. Both his parents stopped what they were doing to stare down poor Sapnap who stood weakly in the doorway from lack of sleep and his panic attack which was still subsiding.

He didn't get much of a response, he wasn't expecting one anyway. "You got up late, I was happy. Thought we didn't have to look at your fat ass for once" of course his father was the one to say that. "Sorry, I overslept. Didn't sleep much" was all Sapnap could manage to say. He was surprised with himself, he managed a sentence without a stutter.
