TWS: Slight mentions of abuse

Sapnap had calmed down a little. Puffy hadn't pressured him to elaborate on his answer. She had given him a little cup on water from one of those water dispenser things. She sat herself back down in front of Sapnap waiting for him to continue talking.

Sapnap's mind was a mess. It was like a stormy sea, bashing around his head. The rough waves battering his self esteem, thinking about all the insults that were thrown at him on the daily. The little pebbles that were picked scraped against his head creating a headache. His emotions drowning him.

It took him a few minutes to collect his thoughts and get a grip on the situation. Puffy was very patient with him and didn't push, just letting him take his time. The quick ticking of the clock was all Sapnap could hear. He was trying to focus on something that wasn't horrid memories from his toxic house hold.

He looked back up at Puffy sniffing. "It probably seems dumb crying like this" he laughed at himself, imagining the awful state he must be in. Puffy spoke up with a look of concern on her face. "No it's not. It's completely okay to cry" she gave a some-what comforting smile towards the broken boy.

"My- My parents don't get along very well" he tried to lay it out simply, remembering the precious class time he was missing. "And it's uh... taken out on me I guess" He looked at the little bear sitting on her desk. It was obviously something a student had gave to her. He stared at it like it was the most interesting item in the world.

Puffy looked sadly at Sapnap, she was thinking about how to handle the situation. She shuffled around in her chair before speaking softly. "Sapnap- I am so incredibly sorry to hear that. It's definitely a great struggle."

She kept talking and comforting Sapnap. Sapnap feeling grateful to have a somewhat professional's advice on the matter. She has promised not to tell his parents but suggested police intervention. This was a serious matter and needed to be dealt with.

Sapnap slowly made his way back to class. He had missed lunch so he had a note to eat in his next class. He made his way back through the long corridors and up the stairs. He stopped in front of his class room. His anxiety kicked in and scenarios played through his head. He was scared of the looks and questions he might get when he walked in. What would he even say to the teacher? How would he say it to the teacher?

The end of the school day rolled around quickly. Sapnap met with Dream outside the school. Dream gave him one of the biggest hugs ever. "Sap I'm so so sorry. Maybe we should tell my parents. You could probably stay at mine" Dream was starting to realize how very serious this was. Of course he knew before but now it was becoming even worse.

Sapnap looked at Dream with big eyes. He didn't want this to get even worse if Dream's parents tried to help. "I don't want things to get worse" Sapnap felt small, his voice was barely above a whisper. He felt as though the world was crushing him. This was all too much pressure to put on him.

Sapnap flinched when he felt someone touch his shoulder. He was frozen in spot not being able to move from fear. "Sap you okay? I heard your name being called out over the thingy" it was only Karl. Sapnap felt his shoulders relax as his adrenalin rush calmed down. Dream looked from Karl to Sapnap with worried eyes. He noticed how Sapnap tensed up and got frozen.

Dream was starting to feel guilty, he didn't know how to help his friend. Sapnap turned around and smiled up at Karl, neither of them knew if it was real or not. "O-Oh yeah about that" Sapnap scratched the back of his neck. The ground caught his gaze while he thought about how to tell the two.

"It was the school counselor" there was just complete silence. Dream and Karl both looked at each other with the same concerned eyes. "She was really nice. She'll know how to help" Sapnap smiled a little, the thought of people actually wanting to help him was incredible.
