Fate/Last Light

Chapter 21

                Kuro and Illya stood ready to fight until they watched as Emiya and Miyu entered "Miyu!" Kuro yelled in excitement, behind them was Shirou and Archer, Illya and Kuro stared in confusion at the sight of another Shirou "Kuro, Illya, this is the me from this reality and-" "Archer." Kuro said, taking a step towards Archer, looking him up and down "I thought you'd be taller." She said, finally meeting the catalyst of the Archer card "You're quite the anomaly yourself." Archer chuckled and Kuro's face turned red "Why you-" "Shirou!" Saber exclaimed and became confused as she saw Shirou and Emiya side by side "Archer, Shirou who is this?" Ruler walked up to them and Shirou sighed "This is the me from the same alternate reality as Julian, and this is his sister Miyu." Shirou introduced and Emiya nodded "And you already met Kuro and Ilya." Emiya said and Saber turned to Illya and frowned "We also had an Illya. But her life was taken by Gilgamesh during the Grail War." Saber said and Illya turned away "No need to frighten her Saber." Shirou pointed out "My apologises." she said "So is she down for the count?" Emiya asked, pointing over to Beatrice, Ruler nodded "Yes. I take it Angelica was defeated?" Archer nodded "We nearly lost, if it weren't for these two we would've." Archer said and Emiya rubbed the back of his neck and chuckled nervously "Don't give us too much credit now. You guys are amazing on your own." he said and Archer exhaled "Now that Angelica and Beatrice are beaten. We've won for now. But how do we find Tohsaka?" Sieg chimes in and Shirou smacked the top of his own forehead "Ah crap. I knew we forgot something. We can't navigate the castle to find Tohsaka!" "Um." Miyu spoke up and Emiya moved aside "What is it Miyu?" "When I was kidnapped and trapped here. Julian would take me to this chamber to prepare." "Do you remember how to get there?" Ruler asked and Miyu asked "Yay! Way to go Miyu!" Illya exclaimed and Emiya nodded "Let's get going. No time to waste right?" He said and everyone nodded and ran off into the halls. 

Miyu guided everyone through the halls, the mansion seemed more like a maze. As they ran, Archer began to feel weaker, something Saber was able to sense "You don't have much longer do you Archer?" She asked and Archer shook his head "Whatever Julian is doing, it's interfering with my contract with Rin, which means it's also cutting off my mana supply. After using my Noble Phantasm and sharing my mana with Shirou as a part of my Independent Action skill as an Archer. My time here is almost spent." "Don't worry Archer." Shirou turned his head back "I'm not letting that creep use Tohsaka for his own personal gain." Shirou said and Archer smirked "He's grown since the last time I saw him. He took my words to heart, and with Rin guiding him on the right path...what was I worried about when it all started?" Archer thought to himself, thinking about his time during the Grail War "I wanted nothing more than to end my own miserable life, put an end to the lifetime of pain and suffering I'd endured. But looking at him now, I can see I had nothing to worry about from that start." Archer continued to think to himself and smiled "I'll hold it to you Shirou." He said and the group turned the corner and came to a large door, it had gold engravings on it and stood at least nine feet "This is it." Miyu said and Ruler nodded "This may very well be our final battle." she said and everyone nodded "I want to thank all of you for helping me attempt to right this wrong." Ruler continued and turned to Shirou "I'm sorry you were roped into this Shirou Emiya. My job as a Ruler is to make sure no innocent bystanders are involved." She said and Shirou waved his hands back and forth "There's no need to apologize. After all I got myself into this. Besides, you're all doing this to help me save Tohsaka also. I should be thanking you." "We'll save her. And your world." Emiya placed his hand on Shirou's shoulder "Tohsaka? He doesn't mean who I think he means does he?" Kuro asked "Not now Kuro!" Illya exclaimed, blushing "Let's not waste anytime." Sieg said, as he did he placed his hand on his head and yelled out in pain "Sieg!" "Master!" Astolfo and Ruler leaned down, Sieg's hand had darkened even further and the dragon scales had trailed up to his neck "He's becoming more and more of a dragon-kin with each passing second." Archer analyzes "Isn't there something you could do Ruler?" Astolfo asked and Ruler shook her head "I've already given him more Command Spells than I should have." "So you can give more?" Archer asked "I could but it's against-" "I'll be fine Ruler." Sieg said and stood up, he moved around his arm "But Sieg-" "There's no need to waste anymore time. If this was the outcome of receiving Siegfried's heart, I will accept it." Sieg said with a sincere tone, Ruler looked as if she could break down at any given moment until she shook it off and stood up straight "If you have accepted it then we have to also." She said, her voice was shaky "Something wrong Ruler?" Sieg asked and she shook her head "She's obviously in love with him." "Kuro!" Illya said, covering her mouth "Enough. On the other side of this door, could be the end of this false Holy Grail War." Ruler said, she had gathered her composure and Shirou nodded "Yeah, it's about time. You ready, Saber?" Shirou asked and Saber nodded "Yes." "Let's not keep Tohsaka waiting." Archer said and Shirou stepped forward and opened the door.

For everyone who doesn't follow me but is keeping up with the story. I have a PC now so the updates wont be as spaced out as before. As I'm working on this though, I am also working on a new story tied to this, something you'll see towards the end of Last Light, I recommend everyone go check it out, it's called Fate/Infinite Paths, there are already two chapters on it out at the moment and I would really love for you guys to go check it out. With Last Light nearing it's end soon, I wanted to put out another story everyone can read, I couldn't wait to get it out there. Anyways, I hope you all enjoyed the chapter, the ending was a little lack luster but this one was a little hard to structure so I do apologize if there were somethings that seemed either off or cringe in a way.
