Chapter 6

Shirou stood in the ruins of a run down village, the stench of blood hung in the air, the sky was gray as if a storm was about to roll through, bullet holes ran across the broken walls, Shirou turned to see dead terrorists laying on the ground, arrows stuck out of their chests. In the middle Archer stood, his bow at his side "You can't seem to stay away huh?" Archer stood in front of Shirou wearing the same attire as last time, his white cloak glided in the wind, his white hair pulled back to balance out the look "I don't see you by choice Archer. Where are we anyway?" Shirou steps forward, Archer disregards his question "Of course, you come here because you need to come here not because you want to... I take it you have questions about what you've been seeing in both your dreams and visions?" "You know about those?" Shirou asks and thunder began to roar throughout the sky "Yes, the visions you've been having is memories from another timeline. In that timelime, the Holy Grail War isn't a fight between Servant and Master. Rather it's a fight where one invokes the power of a Heroic Spirit with a magical item known as a Class Card. On that timeline you used the fake card given to you by Sakura to invoke my power, since I am a Heroic Spirit after all. That you won the Grail War and used it to send away your adopted sister Miyu to a different reality where she could find friends." Archer explained, it made no sense to Shirou, who was at a loss for words "Who's this Miyu girl? What does she have to do with this?" he asked and Archer smirked "In another reality,  you and Kiritsugu left Fuyuki and once you came back, the city was being engulfed by a unknown entity, Miyu Sakatsuki was the one who stopped it, she is a Holy Grail so to speak, her people had the ability to grant any wish... But at a cost. You found her and saved her, Kiritsugu wanted to use her for his wish of world peace but he also died just as he did in your time. She was taken by Julian Ainsworth who is apart of family that started these versions of the Holy Grail War. That's all I can tell you for now." He says and begins to walk away "Wait,  what happened to me...That version of me?" Archer stops in his tracks "After you wished Miyu away to the parallel universe, you battled Angelica, the woman with Gilgamesh's power, you lost and were captured. That's all I can tell you Shirou. But there is one more thing." He turns towards Shirou "No matter what timeline it is, I am always the outcome. Each path you go down has the same outcome. You will always become a Heroic Spirit, you will always become a Counter Guardian. This is your fate. The fate of Shirou Emiya." As Archer finished he turns back around and begins to walk "Wait... Archer wait!" Shirou begins to run after Archer but immediately wakes up. He steadies his breathing and exhales "He's probably right. Even so." Shirou says to himself and shakes his head "No. I won't he a Counter Guardian. I don't care if I become him, I'll achieve my dream." Shirou tells himself and gets out of bed.  He goes to the dining room where he meets everyone, there were some new faces along with Servants he'd never seen before but it didn't bother him "Alright everyone let's get started." Ruler says and begins to go over battle strategy. Ruler had explained what had happened after I had passed out, how they went up to the Hanging Gardens of Babylon and fought Vlad the Impaler, along with the fact that Shirou Amakusa had taken control of all of the Red Faction's Servants except for Saber of Red who stood in the room with her Master Kairi Sisigou. Ruler then went on to tell everyone the identities of the Servants of Red and the Caster of Black who had defected over to the Red Faction's side but was later defeated by Saber of Red and Sieg who transformed into Saber of Black "How long was I asleep?" Shirou thinks to himself "They outnumber us yes but that is why we need a good strategy." Ruler said "Ruler. I have a request." "Yes? What is it?" The room got silent and everyone's eyes laid on Shirou "I want to help." Some people were shocked, Mordred snickered "I can't do that Emiya. You and Ms. Luvia shouldn't have be dragged into this." "You didn't drag me into this, I know Tohsaka is somehow involved in this so I have to do this." Shirou placed his hand on his chest "She'd do the same for me." The room got quiet "We need every asset we can. Shirou are you sure about your decision?" Ruler gave Shirou a serious look "I've never been more sure about anything. I have to do this" Shirou said.  "Alright." "Hold on just a minute!" Shirou looks over, a chubby man had stood up and slammed his hands on the table "This battle is between the Yggedamilenia and the Red Faction. Outsiders are not allowed in this war!" He yelled "Uncle Gorde please sit down." The girl in the wheelchair said and her uncle grunted "If he wants to help we'll need all the help we can get especially since we're short on Servants." She said and he sat down
Shirou stood in silence, he reached into his pocket and grasped the pendant and thought back to when he and Rin first got to the Clocktower. It was a Monday afternoon and Shirou had just finished unpacking everything, Tohsaka sat at the table watching "Alright that's everything." Shirou wipes off the sweat and stretches "Emiya?" "Yeah?" Shirou turns to Rin who's smiling "I want to give you something." She says as she gets up and walks towards him, she takes out a red gem attached to a chain that Shirou knew all to well "I remember this... You used this to save my life." "That isn't it's only use apparently. This is Archer's catalyst. He carried this with him all throughout his life. When he became a Heroic Spirit this became his catalyst in case he ever were to become a Servant. I want you to have it Emiya. And I'm not taking no for an answer." She says and places it in his hand "Thank you Tohsaka. But I-" "I don't wanna hear it. This is my gift to you and as your girlfriend-" "You just had to pull that one. It's so corny and it has no actual meaning." "It does because it usually gets you to do what I want." Tohsaka tilts her head and Shirou sighs "Alright fine. I'll keep it." "Great." She says and giggles "I'll think of you every time I see it or hold it." He says and the two share a kiss. Shirou snaps back to it all and nodded his head "Alright tell me what I can do?" "The Hanging Gardens are protected by Lancer of Red, Rider of Red and Archer of Red and . In the center of the Gardens is Assassin of Red and Shirou Amakusa. Rider. You, Sieg and Caules will fly in on Hippogriff and break through their defenses and draw their attention while I will deal with Archer of Red. Archer-" "I will take care of Rider. It is only right that I do so." Archer of Black says and Ruler nods "Which leaves Saber and Shisigou. You two will enter the Hanging Gardens and head straight for the throne room and face Assassin of Red. Shirou and Luvia, I want you to find the Greater Grail and-" "Destroy it." Shirou says and everyone stares at him "I don't think a power as strong as the Greater Grail can be destroyed by a couple of mages." Shisigou says "If I were a regular mage." Shirou stood up "Once we reach the Greater Grail, I'm going to make a Noble Phantasm strong enough to destroy it." "Create a Noble Phantasm? Sorry kid but it is impossible for a simple mage to create Noble Phantasms at will." "I'm not a simple mage. We've been over this. Just like the Aias, I'll summon up a Noble Phantasm and take it down. Then leave Amakusa to me." Shirou said and Ruler nodded "Alright. Rider I need you to remember the name of your Noble Phantasm. We depart in three days with the new moon." Ruler said and everyone disbanded. Sieg walked up to me "I never knew such a power existed. The ability to create Noble Phantasms at will." He said, it seemed like he was trying to be excited but couldn't since the homunculus didn't have emotions "Not so much as creating them as it is copying them. I can trace the basic structure of an object and recreate it then reinforce it to make it more durable and sharper. For Noble Phantasms, I can make them stronger but only use them once before they break." Shirou responded "It really is an interesting magic. You may need that power during the fight." Ruler said and Shirou nodded. He entered his room and stared out the window, he was thinking about Rin and the first time he had met her up until present day "You're worried about her?" Shirou turned to see Luvia standing behind him "Yeah." He said as he turned back to the window "Don't worry Sherou, now that we have help, we'll be able to save her for sure." She said and placed her and on his shoulder "I'm coming Tohsaka...hold out for me alright?"
