Chapter 14

Saber and Rin returned to the ruins of the Hanging Gardens of Babylon. The two made their way over the debris as they searched for the Greater Grail "If Julian moved it then it shouldn't be a problem." Rin said and took out a turquoise gem from her pocket, she whispered and the gem glowed, particles fell from the sky and moved north "There. Let's go." Rin said and began moving north with Saber. As the two walked, Saber stepped to the front and stopped Rin "What is it?" "There's a bounded field several meters ahead." "So you came earlier than expected." The two turned to see Julian. He looked as if he hadn't slept in months "You knew we were coming?" Rin asked and Saber stepped to the front to guard her "I'm glad I never met you in my world, Rin Tohsaka. You're a skilled magus but your family is as arrogant as Emiya. That imbecile threw away humanity's salvation for one little girl." Julian gritted his teeth and put his hand to his head "Just thinking about it gives me a headache!" "You know Emiya?" Rin asked "You wouldn't understand. This isn't the same world as mine. You see in my world Emiya stole something from my family-" "I know about everything. That's just how Emiya is. And I will not let someone like you kill innocent lives!" "Innocent?  No one is innocent in any world Rin Tohsaka. Everyone's commit some grave sin. I will save my world. And you cannot stop me." Julian said, the sky turned gray and lightning shot down next to Julian. As the lightning disappeared Angelica and Beatrice stood up, Angelica had been injured and Beatrice seemed exhausted "I thought I told you to bring me Emiya!" Julian said "There was a complication Master Julian. We underestimated them." Angelica replied and Julian scoffed "Useless. Since you're here get rid of the Servant and captured the Tohsaka girl. We don't want Darius angry now do we?" Julian growled and the two nodded "Rin, please run." "And leave you? Hell no!" "Shirou asked me to protect you and I intend to do so." Saber said and readied her sword "The Holy Sword, Excalibur. Hmph, I should've guessed." Angelica said "No. You're injured, I'll need you at full strength. I'll want a full report on what happened. Beatrice." Julian ordered and Beatrice grinned deviously "Of course, my love." Beatrice leaped forward and brought down the hammer, Saber blocked with her sword, sparks flew as the two clashed "Go, Rin!" Saber said and Rin turned and began to run "You're not too injured for a simple capture are you?" "Of course not, Master Julian." "Then get the Tohsaka girl." Julian ordered and Angelica wasted no time in chasing down Rin. Tohsaka ran as fast as she could "Saber." She thought and began digging for a jewel. She took out a topaz gem and clenched it tight "Shirou!" She yelled "Tohsaka?" Shirou's voice echoed through her head "Use one of your Command Spells to call back Saber. She's fighting Beatrice!" "What? What about you?" "Don't worry about me, just call back Saber!" Rin yelled and a chain wrapped around her ankle, Rin grunted as she fell to the ground "Tohsaka? Are you ok?" Shirou's voice was filled with concern "I'm fine. Call back Saber!" Rin said as another chain wrapped around her free leg "You're coming with me Rin Tohsaka." Angelica said "Rin!" Shirou's voice echoed as the jewel's light died out, Rin turned her head to see a red light erupt in the distance, Saber had been called back "Good." Rin whispered and two more chains wrapped around her arms "It'd be wise not to struggle." Angelica said. A rift opened behind Angelica, on the reverse side of the rift was Julian "The Servant was called back. But that doesn't matter, bring the Tohsaka girl. We'll use her as leverage." Julian said and Angelica nodded and began to drag Rin across the ground "I'm sorry, Shirou." Rin thought and she blacked out.

Saber blinked in front of Shirou in a gust of wind "Shirou?" Saber said in confusion "What happened to Tohsaka?" Shirou asked "We were confronted by Julian. I told Rin to run but-" "I can't contact her. Nor can I pinpoint her location. She's been captured." Archer said and Shirou flared up with rage "Dammit!" Shirou yelled and turned back to Saber "Take me to the mansion." "Hold it Shirou." Archer put his hand on Shirou's shoulder "Think this through." "I have. I let her get taken before, I'm not letting it happen again!" "That's what he wants. He's using Rin as leverage. Julian know you'll come for her. We need to come up with a strategy on how to fully defeated Beatrice and Angelica." Archer's eyes were cold and Shirou sighed "You're right. What's the plan?" "We wait for Astolfo and Caules. Until then we'll talk with Ruler." Archer said and walked away in search for Ruler, Luvia walked up and placed her hand on Shirou's shoulder "It's alright Sherou, we'll find her. Tohsaka is as stubborn as they come, she's also equally as tough." Luvia reassured him and Shirou sighed "You're right. Come on Saber, let's go find Ruler." Shirou gestured and Saber nodded as the three began to follow behind Archer.
