Tony's Pov:
We have been constructing models of possible machines the entire day, but without any succes.
"Y/n, I know you mess the others, I do too, but it won't work," I said, trying to make her move on.
"No, it will work, I know it will. We will get the Stones, I will snap my fingers and they will come back," She said, not backing away from her models, "We have to try, at least this one."
She showed me a digital design, so I let FRIDAY check if it would work.
"This might take a moment, please be patient," the AI said.
"Take your time, and Y/n, don't be sad if it doesn't work," I said.
"Model rendered, processing."
A moment of silence, we both looked at the screen.
"Model succesful, congratulations."
"Shit," We both said, falling into our chairs.
"We just made a time travel machine," I said, staring at the screen.
"This means we can bring the others back, we did it," Y/n said, and I could see the tears forming in her eyes.
"Yes, we did. We need to get back to the compound, tell everyone the news and then start working at the machine."
Your Pov:
"You made a machine that allows you to time travel!?" Nat said, clearly not believing me.
"Yeah, after working and working for hours, we finally got a model that would work. Please, we have to try. I know you'd be risking a lot, with your whole new family going on, but please-"
"Of course we'll try, no questions asked. We need to get everyone back, it that costs us our lives, that's the price we are gonna have to pay."
"Thank you, you have no idea what this means to me."
"Actually, I do. I miss my best friend, and the smile on the face of my other bestie. You deserve to be happy, after all that happened."
