After the funeral was over and most people had returned to their homes, I just sat by the lake for a while. Even though I had learned over the years to cope with the traumatic stuff that had happened, this was something that got me back to square one. While my tears fell into the lake from my cheeks, I heard someone coming over.

"Hey Y/n, we didn't really get the chance to talk yet. I understand if you want to be alone right now, I get that."

"Oh, hi Peter. No, it's okay, shall we go for a walk?" I said, facing him.

"Yeah, sure," He said, helping me on my feet, "So, how have you been?"

"Uhm, I finished high school, got into therapy and had to take care of three kids, so I've been busy."

"Wait, you've been to therapy?"

"Yeah, the last years have been really hard for me. The first year, I barely spoke to anyone, was always in the training room or the lab. Eventually, I saw that that wasn't gonna bring me anywhere, so after talking to... my parents, I got into therapy. It helped, not that it completely worked out, but it worked a little. So, how have you been, how was being blipped?"

"Is that how they call it? Well, it felt like a dream or rather nightmare. Dusting away hurt, but after that, everything was black and I saw my life going in front of my eyes. Then I woke up and was back on Titan, five years into the future."

"So you didn't, like, lived in an afterlife or something?"

"Not that I can remember, sorry, I know you want to have the validation that your dad is in a better place."

"It's okay, I can tell he's some place better, I just know. You know, if it wasn't for you, we would never have come up with the idea of time travel. Don't get me wrong, you're not the reason my dad did what he did, I just thought you wanted to know that he probably wouldn't have done it for someone else."

"Wow, that's actually nice to hear. I know this is really inappropriate to ask, but have you been... seeing people?"

"Well, as I told you, the first year I barely spoke to anyone, but me and Pietro tried dating for a while. We soon realized it was more about finding comfort about the people we lost than actually liking each other, so we decided we were better off as friends. After that, I actually didn't feel the need to date anyone, it... it felt like I was betraying you of some sort, I couldn't do that again. How about you, did you meet someone while being dead?"

"No, it was kinda lonely, to be honest. I heard what happened to Nat, I'm so sorry you had to lose her like that."

"It's not even the worst for me. Mary is going to be growing up without a mother, like you."
