After a year of preparing for everything, the big day was finally there. Sure, it wouldn't be the same without Nat and dad, but we both knew that it shouldn't stop us. Wanda and mom went with me to the bridal shop for buying the dress, but eventually, we all had a different plan. So today, I'm wearing Nat's wedding dress, feeling like a part of her was still here. With Mary as the flowergirl and the Maximoff twins as the ring bearers, they were all three dressed up in kid tuxedo's.
"No, I don't wanna wear that stupid dress!" Mary had yelled at her dad.
"Honey, what are you going to wear then?" Steve had asked, finding some difficulties in the whole single parenting.
"I wanna wear a suit like Billy and Tommy."
"But you're a girl."
"So, mom used to wear suits all the time and that didn't bother you."
"Yeah Steve, you should know that clothes don't have a gender," I said, joining Mary's side, "If you wanna wear a suit, you're gonna wear one."
"Thanks, Auntie Y/n!" She squeled, running off to get her tux.
"That wasn't so hard to do, Steve. And spoiler alert: prepare for a lot of rainbows."
"You're gonna have to be more clear here, Y/n," Steve said.
"Mary told me that she liked a girl in her class, so if I hear one unsupportive word, your wife will kill you, no matter what."
"Oh yeah, she told me at dinner last week. Don't worry, I'm not going to piss off Nat, or you."
"Good, now if you'll excuse me, I have to get married."
And with that, I walked away to the dressing room, where I was helped into the amazing dress by mom and Wanda.
"You look perfect, honey. Peter is going to love it, that's for sure," Mom said, looking at me through the mirror.
"And I promise, if he has the nerve to keep his eyes unwatered, I'll make him cry. But really, the guy has to have tears in his eyes, because you look fabulous," Wanda said.
"So you still didn't bring a date? Not going to lie, that is a bit sad," I said, laughing but being serious.
"Well, uhm, actually I did. The thing is, they're not a guy."
"If you brought a monster to my wedding, I will kill you."
"No, it's not a monster, or at least I hope. Her name is Scarlet and we have been dating for some time."
"Good for you, Wands. I hope you're going to be very happy with her, and she with you."
There was a knock at the door, so I was about to open it when both of them stopped me.
"Who is it?" Mom asked through the door.
"It's Peter. Look, I know I'm not supposed to come here because of bad luck and all, but I just wanted to say something to Y/n," He said through the door.
"Leave it for the altar, kid. As you said, it's bad luck to see or speak to the bride before the ceremony," Wanda said, not letting him in.
"That's all stupid superstition from when arranged marriages were still a thing, so the bride and groom wouldn't be able to change their minds," I said, "You can come in, Pete, it's okay."
"As much as I want to see you, I'm not going to be responsible for ruining the best day of our lives. I just wanted to say, I love you so much and I can't wait to be married," He said, receiving a long 'aww' from the ladies behind me.
"I can't wait too, I'll see you at the altar."
When it was finally time to start the ceremony, I was handed a bouquet of red and yellow roses, reminding me of the Iron Man suits that were still in the basement. Trying not to trip in high heels, I walked down the aisle while everybody stood up. Not that I was paying any attention to them, only Peter was the one that caught my eye. Obviously wearing one of my dad's suits, made it just that little more special. Standing next to him, we both looked at our priest, no one other than our very own Steve Rogers, who was happily to officiate.
"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to see the beginning of the story of these two young people. Peter Benjamin Parker, do you take Y/n Morgan Stark as your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do you part?" He said, looking at Peter.
"Yes, yes I do," Peter said, making my heart skip a beat.
"And Y/n Morgan Stark, do you take Peter Benjamin Parker-"
"Yes, I do," I cut off Steve, making the 'dearly beloved' laugh, "Sorry for interrupting you, Steve."
"No problem, sweetheart. May I have the rings, please?" He asked, giving us the rings, "You may now exchange your vows, Peter."
"The first time I saw you, I already knew you were someone special," He started, "Not your typical average girl, but someone different, in a good way. I remember that you smiled when I was clearly nervous to talk to you, and it made all the worries go away. You make me a better person, and even through our ups and downs, you always had my back. It probably will be hard to go through an awful lot of kidnappings and stuff like that on parties, but I am more than ready, because I have you. So, with this ring, I promise that I'll never stop loving you, from this day forward, until death do us part."
"That was beautiful, truly. Y/n, it's your turn."
"Every time you said something nice or did something that I could never expect, I always told you that I was too young and not ready to get married," I said, thinking of all those times, "But now, standing here in front of you, I know that I am ready. I am ready to spend the rest of our lives with you, because you're my soulmate, no matter how cheesy that sounds. In the five years of the blip, the only thing that kept me going, was the thought that you wouldn't give up on me, so I couldn't give up on you either. And now, with our families a little smaller, I still can't give up, because you don't either. You were the only one that could make me laugh, even at my lowest, and you still do so every day. With this ring, I am more than ready to marry you, to love and to hold, until the end of the line."
"Now, if there isn't anyone that has any reason why these two people shouldn't be together, I declare you husband and wife, you may kiss the bride."
And so we did. After everyone congratulating us, Wanda pulled me aside.
"Y/n, I would like you to meet my date and girlfriend Scarlet," She said, introducing me to her date.
"Hi, Scarlett Johansonn. Congratulations with the wedding, you two sure look made for each other," Scarlet said, shaking my hand.
"Thank you, and I'm so happy Wanda found someone she's happy with. Although, I do have to say, I feel like I know you from somewhere. Oh well, must be the magic going crazy, it was so nice to meet you," I said, not really knowing how I would know her.
A couple of years later, Peter and I had a girl we named Toni Natalia Parker, to remind us that things don't always go as planned. As long as we had each other, we could overcome anything. But keeping Tony Stark's famous words in mind, because we knew way too good, Life is not a Fairytale.
