After rescuing an almost dead Clint from the vents, I realized that I hadn't seen Pietro the whole morning, which made me a little worried.
"Uhm guys, have you seen Pietro by any chance? I don't really want to be the one to tell Wanda her brother died... again," I said, looking around.
"I heard my name?" I heard behind me.
"Damn it, don't ever scare me like that, Maximoff!"
"Well, don't get mad at me for saving my sister's kids, thank you for asking."
"Oh shit, I totally forgot about that, are they okay?"
"A few scratches, but they're fine. Can't say the same about you, though, you have blood running down your face."
"Wow, I wonder how that happend," I said sarcastic, rolling my eyes.
"Really, you're giving me the eye roll, after I saved your best friend's kids?"
"We all had a stressful morning, okay? Don't die in the war, and I might forgive you for scaring me. Or for the incident from five years ago that I won't be repeating."
"I thought you forgave me for that, it was a one time thing, you got your happy ending."
"Oh really, you call war a happy ending?"
"You know what I meant."
"If you two are done fighting over some silly reason, we need your help saving the world," Dad said.
"Wait, where is the gauntlet?" Steve asked, while Clint sighed.
"One of Thanos' minions took it, I'm sorry. Everything I did in the last twenty-four hours has been nothing but horrible," He said, sitting down.
"It's not your fault Clint, you know that. He has the Stones, I'll admit that isn't what we hoped for, but we can't give up now. Nat wouldn't want us to sit around, she would want us to fight."
"Okay people, let's go get that son of a bitch," Dad said, leading us through the demolished ruins of what was our home.
Standing in between the chaos, Thanos stood there with a smirk, one I would happily slap off of his face.
"Friends, we don't have to fight. Let me do the work for you and all will be fine. I promise, great things are ahead of us," He said with his deep voice, making my blood boil.
"You're right, great things are in front of us, like the end of an era, the time you ruled the universe by erasing half of the population. This is coming to an end, starting with you," I said, clenching my fists.
Thanos took everything from me five years ago. My friends, my family, the love of my life, I wasn't planning on letting that happen again.
"And how are you gonna do that? You're outnumbered, you can do nothing against me."
"Is that so?" Steve said, holding out his one hand while his other one was on his ear.
To all of our surprises, Thor's magic hammer, Mjölnir, flew into his hand.
"You are not the only one with an army. Avengers... Assemble!" He said and suddenly, portals started to open around us.
Everyone we lost five years ago, came running through them. The Guardians of the Galaxy, the Wakandian army, Valkyrie and the people from Asgard. I saw Wanda, glowing in her power, and my heart skipped a beat. Bucky stood next to Steve, while Sam flew through the air.
All of us started running towards the enemy, started fighting for our lives. Dad approached Thanos, tried to rip the gauntlet from his hand, but fell backwards against the debris. I ran towards him to help, but saw I wasn't the only one.
"Hey! Holy cow! You will not believe what's been going on. Do you remember when we were in space? And I got all dusty? And I must've passed out because I woke up and you were gone. But Doctor Strange was there right. And he said 'It's been five years. Come on, they need us.' And he started doing the yellow sparkly thing that he does. Anyway-" I heard the voice I missed for five years say, helping dad back on his feet.
Instead of giving him the hand on the shoulder he used to do, he gave Peter a hug, which almost made me cry, almost.
"This is nice," Peter said, holding onto him but then turning to me, "Y/n, you look... older."
"I could say the same about you, Parker," I said, this time letting the tears slip, "I would love to chat around, but we kinda have a war to win."
I already wanted to walk back to the others, but I felt a familiar hand pulling me into a kiss. You can imagine that's something that felt good in all of the chaos.
"I missed you."
"I missed you too. Now let's show them you don't mess with the Avengers."
A/n: I know the people who were blipped away didn't age, but I couldn't ruin our OTP, now can I? Okay, I know I've put them through a lot of trouble, but an illegal relationship went a bit too fair. And in advance, I'm sorry for the next chapter, I suggest you bring tissues.
