I fell onto the ground, not being able anymore to keep my balance. Mom hugged me, having a hard time aswell.

"It's okay, hun. You can cry, it's okay," She said, stroking my hair.

"It's all my fault, I should've been the one who snapped, not him. He's gone because of me, I'm so sorry," I said, tears running over my face.

"Y/n, listen to me. This was your dad's own choice, he knew the consequences. He didn't want you to give up your life, he wanted you to find your happines again."

"But I was always told that I could whield the Infinity Stones, so no one had to suffer."

"That's true, but who knows what would've happened then. What if you went insane after, or created your own world with your powers, holding everyone hostage."

"Okay, I get it, quit being dramatic here. We're not in a tv show or something."

I turned around, seeing everyone going on one knee to honor him. Of course I did the same, Dad deserved all this love.

A few days later, the funeral was there. I wore a simple black dress with a red broche, which made me feel like I at least had something left of him. Me and mom were sitting in the living room, because apparently, Dad had left a message. His Iron Man helmet was placed on the table, where a hologram was projected from.

"Everybody wants a happy ending. Right? But it doesn't always roll that way. Maybe this time. I'm hoping if you play this back, it's in celebration. I hope families are reunited, I hope we get it back and something like a normal version of the planet has been restored, if there ever was such a thing. God, what a world. Universe, now. If you told me ten years ago that we weren't alone, let alone, you know, to this extent, I mean, I wouldn't have been surprised, but come on. The epic forces of dark and light that have come in to play. And for better or worse, that's the reality Y/n's gonna have to find a way to grow up in. So I thought I better record a little greeting, in the case of an untimely death, on my part. I mean, not that death at any time isn't untimely. This time travel thing we're gonna try and pull off tomorrow, it's got me scratching my head about the survivability of it all. Then again that's the hero gig. Part of the journey is the end. What am I even tripping for? Everything's gonna workout exactly the way it's supposed to," It said.

The hologram walked over to me, and said the words I hadn't heard since my childhood.

"I love you 3000."

Trying to stay strong, I bit on my lip, but Peter, who sat next to me, pulled me into a hug.

The funeral was beautiful, but it didn't feel complete. I missed having Nat around, she was the one who helped me in the end to get my life together and convinced me to seek help. Before the coven was buried into the ground, I got to say some final words.

"Uhm, hi everyone, thank you all for being here. Tony Stark, it's a name none of us will ever be able to forget. We all have different visions of him, we all know different versions of the man who once was and always will be Iron Man. Some of him knew him as a friend, some as a genius, a husband, a father, an ally, a coworker. But we all remember him as the man who saved the universe, the man who snapped his fingers, risking his own life. Reckless, that sure is an answer I would give you, if you asked me to describe him. After all, Iron Man came to exist after he had build a prototype in a cave. Yes, Tony isn't longer with us, so are others, but that doesn't mean he doesn't exist anymore. The legacy he has left behind, we are all part of it. We are his legacy, we are his family, thank you."

I walked back to stand with mom, seeing the coven go into the ground. A few tears escaped from my eyes, but I knew that Tony Stark was in a better place now.
