Chapter 8

"What?!! Engagement?!!"

"My brother?!!"

"Are you serious, Sir Leo?? " asked Tyra

"Yes I am. The duke said it in front of me and Lady Denner already stayed at the duke house" explain Leo to Tyra and his Highness

"Staying together?!! My brother?!! " the emperor shocked again

"Your Highness... You say the same thing.. " said Tyra

"Why all of a sudden?!! This is really weird.. My brother who looks like a tyrant fall in love with a woman from noble family?!!"

"That's true... But the Archduke deserve to love someone right, Your Highness?? " said Tyra

"Yeah of course. I allowed him to fall in love with someone. But... It's just... Haihh my brother really had grown up" the emperor looks sad because he taking care of the Archduke since he was still child. Their mom and dad passes away when the duke still 5 years old and the emperor was 11 years old.

Tyra looks at the emperor. She knows how much the emperor loves his brother since they were together for a long time. She also felt weird when the duke suddenly engaged with someone. Usually, the duke not allowed any woman near him especially Lady Diana Cowen

"Since I already do my tasked. I got to go now, Your Highness. Thank you for willing to spend some time for me" said Leo and then he walked out from the castle

The emperor and Tyra walk into his Highness office room. His Highness sit on the chair and sighed. He look out the window...

Flashback...

"Brother?? When did mom and dad will be come home?? " asked the 5 years old Evan Leonard

"Urmm... I'm sorry Evan. Mom and dad already passed away. They have gone far away from us"

"How far?? Did they can't go home because it's too far?? If it's because of that we can just ask our butler to pick them right?? "

"We can't Evan... They were very farrr. We can't reach them anymore. For your information,  they might also be at the heaven right now" said Ian while holding his brother shoulder. He knew that his brother was still a kid and he doesn't understand about death so he just can say that their parents had gone to a far place

"So... Only you and me right now?? "

"Yeah.. But don't worry. I will always be with you Evan" Ian hugged his little brother tightly

Next day...

Before Ian Leonard become the new emperor. He must learn more things such as sword fight, strategies, politic and more. Although, he was only a crown Prince but he was a genius about strategies. Ian was not very good at sword fight but unlike his brother, Evan really loved swors fight and he always won against Ian. At that time, Ian knew that his little brother will become the most powerful swordsman in their country and can help him to take care of their country.

End of flashback...

"Your highness?? Are you alright?? Your highness... "

Ian slowly open his eyes after he heard someone call him. He looks at the person..

"Ohhh Tyra... What is it?? "

"I'm just felt weird when you suddenly be so quiet. I thought that something happened to you"

"No no no... I'm just reminded my childhood memories with Evan"

Tyra just nodded and arranging the documents on the emperor's table

"Tyra... Can you tell Evan to meet me before he go to the expedition??"

"Of course, Your Highness"

"No no no no... I was carried by the ARCHDUKE!!!!! AM I CRAZYY?!! WHY WOULD I TROUBLE THE DUKE TO CARRY ME TO THE BEDROOM AND MOST IMPORTANT IS WHY I DIDNT EVEN REALIZE ABOUT IT?!!" Raenifer shouted while put her face on the pillow. She was shocked about the things that her maids told her in the morning

Flashback...

"My lady... You awake?? " the maids smile widely

"Uhh... Yeah. Why are you guys smile like that?? Anything on my face?? " asked Raenifer while holding her face

"No my lady. Nothing on your face. But, the duke and you was so cute last night. All of us were jealous about your relationship... We can't believe that the duke carried someone like a princess" the maids laugh happily with each other while Raenifer was loading

"Carried?? Who?? "

"You"

"ME!!!!  THE ARCHDUKE CARRIED ME?!! "

"Yess!!"

End of flashback...

"Urghh... Thinking about that make me feel like weird woman who pretend to be asleep. But, the maids were so happy when they saw the duke carry me. I think they really think we as a real couple"

"What are you doing here?? "

"E-evan!!! "

"Yes it's me. Why are you so shocked??  Am I a ghost?? "

"Haha... No... It's not like that. It's just you doesn't make sound while coming in. ........ Urmm thanks about last night. I'm sorry if I make trouble for you"

"Ohh it's alright. It's my duty as a fiancee" Evan smile while showing his teeth and his eyes also smile
