Once Again

Chapter 17

In the Forest....

The second day has arrived, they start packing their thing before continuing their journey. All of the soldiers have their own tasked such as task to make sure there is food, medicine and more. There is also task like take care of their horse when all of them spend the night in the forest. The horses must be taken care of so they will not be lost or eaten by monsters without them knowing.

They start their expedition back and finally went out from the forest. A lot of monster were roaming around and some of them already notice the soldiers and begin to attack them. They fight against the monster using their sword and also launched a cannon but the cannon was limited so they must use their physical body and slash the monster using the sword with a mana. 

Unfortunately, some of the soldiers were killed by the monster since they cannot kill them as fast as they can. Because of that, Evan make a planned B due to planned A was not successful. All of them follow the Archduke order and kill the monster with a new strategies. The strategies was to gather all the monster at one place so that it can make them easier to kill it at once. Although, the strategies has becomed more easy but still there is some of the soldiers were injured and need a treatment so the Archduke decided to back off and find a place to recover the soldiers. 

"We need to heal them before continue so that there will be no dead again. My team and Tyra team will went back there to take the dead body of our soldiers. So the rest of you should take a rest and wait for the healer to heal you guys" said Evan and asked his team and also Tyra team to follow him back to the monster place. "THANK YOU, ARCHDUKE" said all of the soldiers. 

"Make sure to collect all of the dead body. So that we can show it to their family and their family can make funeral towards them" all of them nodded and collect the dead body while crying. It is because they were the soldiers that already do their best to fight againts monster and they know that if they join the military, they have to prepare for dead. The Archduke also felt pity towards the corpse... That's why he want to collect all of it and bring them back safely to the kingdom with a victory.

Meanwhile at the Castle....

"Arghhh!! I lost again" said the emperor. 

"I don't know that Your Highness was so bad at this game" said Raenifer and laugh at the emperor. "Ohoo!! How dare you laugh at me huh??" said the emperor and make a sulk face. Raenifer just laugh again because she know that the emperor was not like the others emperor who punished everyone easily eventhough it's not a big deal. Since Evan went to the expedition, Raenifer already accepted the invitation from the emperor to come to the palace. Now, she has become more close and comfortable with the emperor. Although she have fun spending time with the emperor like playing chess, walk around the palace garden, have a tea and more.... She also always remember Evan and worried about his safety. 

At night... 

"Don't forget to come again tomorrow"

"Yes, Your Highness"

"Haaa... I told you to stay one night here but you refused my invitation" pout the emperor

"Hahaha.. I have to take care Evan's house since he's not here so I will be the one to do some of his job" said Raenifer and then bow to His Highness and enter the carriage.

On the way back... 

"I wonder what Evan do right now?? Did he already eat?? I'm really worried about him. He always said not to worry about him but I can't do that. The expedition was dangerous and what if something happen to him" think Raenifer. 

Suddenly, the carriage has stopped. "Sir?? What's wrong?? Did something happen in front our carriage??" asked Raenifer but the driver was nit answer her questions. So she decided to get off from the carriage to see what happen. 

When she get off, she walk to the front and saw the driver already die. After that, there is someone cover her mouth with a handkerchief. She wanted to shout but it's too late since the kidnapper already close her mouth with the handkerchief. Then, Raenifer fainted and the kidnapper bring her into the carriage.

Time Skip... 

Raenifer slowly opened her eyes and try to look around her. Her hands were tied by the ropes and she cannot move. Thankfully, she can still talk because the kidnapper was not put any cellotape on her mouth. Then, someone approached her and it's appearance make Raenifer shocked.

"Wesley?!!"
