Marcus ~

After finishing a rather lengthy job in Colombia, Bravo team was due some down time and Hunter approved of Declan and Marcus taking two days of leave to go see what information they could gather from Cutter.

Marcus parked in front of Declan's house and walked up the front steps with his small duffle over his shoulder. He knew the code to get into Declan's house, but he'd never enter without permission after what Lexi had been through. Being kidnapped and tortured had made Lexi wary of home security, understandably so, and unannounced visitors seemed to jolt her nerves which Marcus wanted to avoid all together.

Making his presence known, he rang the doorbell and knocked and was greeted by a smiling happy Lexi. She was wearing a ratty t-shirt that had a few holes in it with all of her long brown hair tied up in a messy bun on the top of her head.

"Hey Marcus, come on in." She said happily.

"Dec is up putting up a new light fixture for me in the bathroom, but I think he's almost done." she said, walking over to the kitchen where cleaning supplies were all set out.

"Anything I can help with?" Marcus asked, dropping his bag in the entry hall and heading down the hallway.

"You can try, he's been in the grumbling and dropping f-bombs for about thirty minutes, but I haven't heard one in a while so I assume he's got it under control." Lexi said with a laugh.

Marcus rounded the corner to see Declan standing on a step ladder with his arms fully extended installing elaborate vanity lighting in their master bathroom.

"Need a hand brother?" Marcus offered.

"Nah I'm almost done. Why she needs all this shit to create natural light when there's a fucking window right there is beyond me." Declan grumbled.

Declan reached down and rummaged through his tool kit before letting out a deep sigh of frustration, shaking his head as he eyed the spot where his screw drivers should have been.

"Lex...Did you take my screwdrivers out of my toolkit baby?" Declan yelled from the bathroom.

"Ummmm, yeah I think I did when I was changing out the dresser knobs."

Marcus smiled as Declan dropped his head and ran his hand through his hair at the antics of his fiancé. Declan was the boss, he was all about control and order and the thought of Lexi moving his well organized tools brought a satisfying smile to Marcus' face.

"Well I need em' Lex," Declan said with an exasperated smile.

"Plus sign or minus sign?" Lexi yelled back.

Arching a brow at Declan and cocking his head in confusion, Marcus looked over at Declan who raked his palm down his face and started laughing.

"She's asking if I need a phillips head or a flat head screwdriver." Declan chuckled.

"Plus sign, baby." Declan said with a laugh, causing Marcus to do the same.

"Got it!" Lexi answered with enthusiasm.

Both men were laughing when Lexi appeared in the doorway with three phillips head screwdrivers.

"I didn't know which size you needed so I brought them all." Lexi said with pride in her voice for a job well done.

Lexi's positive energy made it impossible to be irritated with her. Marcus knew that if anyone else in the entire world had messed with Declan's tools and misplaced them, he would have lost his shit, but Lexi was too adorable to be mad at. She just had a way about her that put everyone at ease and made the bad things in life seem less bad.
