[A one-shot for the best girl! If you haven't known already, I have an Eli x reader book. This one-shot isn't connected to it whatsoever but hey, just a shameless plug. Thinking of writing about Kanata next. idk.]

(Y/n POV)

"You can't close the Research club, Ms. Student council president. This is uncalled for! You shall not abolish this Research club of mine! I've been here since my very first day here at Otonokizaka! You- You just can't..." I said angrily while bashing my hand on the clubroom table as Ayase-san, the student council president, is trying to abolish my club. The club I grew up in... The club where I spent my best moments in this school.

"I know your attachment to this club is very deep, L/n-kun but you're the lone member of this club. We can't let you continue this alone." She said, making me realize that fighting for it is a lost cause now. I failed to gain any members and all the other members graduated already. I just can't let go...

"I... Fine... But will you please leave me alone for now? I'll pack up all the stuff... " I reluctantly said as she nodded, went outside, and left.

"I guess it's time to pack up..." I said as I looked at a few pictures in the clubroom... It was with me and my seniors. We all knew that our club was already doomed as I was the only member they got at my year level and we haven't got even one at the year level below me. The pictures showed me and my seniors having fun in the club room...

"Those were the good times... Well, the club was doomed anyways. I knew this but I decided to ignore it and still enjoy being here even if it's being alone. " I said as I sat down on a chair and rested my head on the table.

"Even the biggest of empires come to an end... So how would our small club survive?" I said as I slowly dozed off to sleep...

"Huh? I overslept... It was only supposed to be a nap..." I said as I woke up. I looked out the window and saw that it's already dark.

"I guess the things here at the club would stay here for now. I need to go home quickly." I said as I went out of the clubroom to see no people around while all the lights were off.

"Damn, why is school so creepy at night time?" I said as I walked to the entrance.

"WAHHHH!!!" I suddenly heard someone shout as I got scared as hell.

"Huh?! I need to find where that came from." I used my instincts and put my bets on the... student council room?

I hesitantly opened the door and saw Ayase-san on the floor.

"Ayase-san? Are you alright?" I said as I offered my hand and helped her stand up.

"L- L/n-kun?! What are you doing here?!" Ayase-san asked as we both sat down.

"You see, I slept in the club room and just woke up. While I was heading out, I heard your scream and now we're here." I explained.

"You seem fine... Aren't you angry at me because I shut down your club a while ago?" She asked, looking down. Does she feel guilty about it?

"Ayase-san, you were just doing your job. Even if it hurts... I can't blame you for it being abolished. It was my fault as I failed to bring in new members that caused the club to fall down." I said as I stood up and patted her back.

"L- L/n-kun?" She said as she blushed, probably because I patted her.

"Let's get out of here. We don't want to spend more time here, right?" I asked, to which she nodded.
