Ren x reader: Policies and Predictions

[Happy birthday to Ren! Also, this is my first Liella one-shot.]

"Ren~ Two students are causing some disturbance outside." Y/n said to Ren, the student council president of Yuigaoka High School and a childhood friend of Y/n. Y/n L/n, the vice president of Yuigaoka High School and a student of its general curriculum.

"Alright, I'll talk to them..." Ren said as she went to the ruckus. Y/n followed but kept his distance. Ren was talking to a gray-haired girl and an orange-haired girl with the two girls in question holding a poster showing their intentions to create an idol club.

As Y/n was staring at the three girls he has put himself in a pretty uncommon situation...

"Damn, this school is surely filled with cute girls. But even after all these years Ren is still the prettiest of them all." He said to himself as he brought himself to reality.

"Wh- What am I saying? Looks like I'll search the files of those two but I think they went to the wrong school if they want an idol club. Ren has her... well, convictions against it. Anyways, I'm pretty sure they can work that out." Y/n said to himself as he left and went to check the student files.

"Shibuya Kanon and Tang Keke... So they're the two who want an idol club? I have a green light for it because of... cute girls- but I don't think Ren would even agree with it in the slightest." Y/n said to himself as the student council room door opened, revealing Ren.

"I'm guessing you dismissed their idea." Y/n said as Ren nodded.

"This school has no place for an idol club." Ren said to Y/n as he slightly chuckled.

"I knew you would say that. But it's never too late to change your mind. Anyways, are you going home now? Let's walk home together." Y/n said.

"I can't. I still have a lot to do as the student council president." Ren said, to Y/n's dismay.

"Very well, I'll take my leave now." Y/n said as he left the room and started walking home- or that was supposed to be the plan. Y/n found out that Kanon's family owns a cafe while he was looking at the student files and a little bit of searching on the net. He made his way to the cafe and after a few minutes, he arrived at his destination.

He entered the cafe and he was greeted by an adult woman who he'd describe has similarities to Kanon.

"One cup of coffee please." He said as he paid and sat down on a nearby seat. The door of the cafe opened and predictably for Y/n, it was Kanon.

"Good afternoon, Shibuya-san!" Y/n said to Kanon's surprise.

"H- Huh?! You're L/n-san, right?" Kanon asked as Y/n nodded.

"You know him, Kanon?" The adult woman asked.

"Yes, mom. He's the student council vice president of the school." Kanon said, revealing that the adult managing the cafe is her mom. This for Y/n Isn't as surprising as he already connected the dots because of the similar facial features.

"Would you mind sitting down with me, Shibuya-san? Maybe I should treat you a drink or two? But this is your family's cafe so that would probably be unnecessary." Y/n said as Kanon sat down on the seat in front of him.

"Please don't tell me you also disagree with the idol club." Kanon said with a downed tone heard in her voice.

"What makes you think that's the case? I'm here to tell you that I want the idol club to happen." Y/n said, making Kanon's eyes glimmer.

"Eh? Why so? Hazuki-san seems to hate the idea." Kanon said.

"She has her reasons. But I'm pretty sure she'll make you earn the chance to make the idol club a reality. She'll probably make you guys join an idol contest and force you guys to win first place or something. I would really love it if you and Tang-san would convince her and maybe even make her a member of the idol club itself. Anyways, tell me if you guys need help for your endeavors, I'll do my best to help. I believe that this is for Ren and all she cared about. Hm? Seems like I rambled a bit too much. Sorry for the sudden speech." Y/n said.

"I- I appreciate the support L/n-san... But is it rude for me to ask if you like Hazuki-san?" Kanon said, making Y/n blush.

"Me and Ren have been friends ever since we were young. Maybe you could say that. Also, it's getting late now so I must take my leave." Y/n said as he drank his coffee and left the cafe.

~Some time later~

Y/n could not believe it... It seemed like he predicted everything. Ren did make Kanon and Keke join an idol contest where they needed to win first with the two being successful and the school idol club became a reality. Now, Y/n is now wondering how and why Kanon and the others are inside Ren's house being chased by Ren's dog, Chibi.

"Ren, give them a chance to talk. It was a surprise even to me with your sudden decisions as the student council president." Y/n said to Ren who can't deny her childhood friend's request.

Kanon and the others then continued to talk. After some time, Kanon and the others left.

"Ren? What do you say? Maybe it's time to move on, Ren. But I'm pretty sure Shibuya-san can find a way. She always does... She feels like a main character in an anime of some sort. Anyways, I also gotta go now. See you!" Y/n said, followed by a soft chuckle as he left the Hazuki residence.

Y/n knows about the story of Ren's mother... Something Kanon and the others haven't known yet. He believes in his mind that Ren just misunderstood what her mother has said but of course he can't bring himself to say that as it may have some consequences. Y/n is now relying on Kanon to find the final piece that would make Ren overturn her decision.

"Y'know, I should really just be a fortune teller at this point." And there it was, Kanon has now found something that convinced Ren to change her plans.

"Looks like the school idol club has 5 members now." Y/n said to Kanon, Keke, Sumire, Chisato, and to their newest member, his very own childhood friend, Ren.

"We couldn't have done it without you, L/n-san! You're technically our first supporter after all." Kanon said.

"You're a member of this club, L/n-san. You're one of the reasons why the club stood and is still standing." Keke said.

"Thank you, Y/n. You've always been there for me even until now. I'm lucky to have you-"

Y/n interrupted Ren's sentence with a sudden kiss on the lips, surprising the 5 girls. The kiss lasted for a few seconds with every moment of it feeling like an eternity for Y/n and Ren.

"Don't say that, Ren. You were the one who was always with me. It's not the other way around, Ren. You could thank all your stars all you want but I'll always be the lucky one. I love you, Ren." Y/n said, finally after all those years where he just kept it inside a bottle.

"Y- Y/n... I love you too." Ren said as she hugged Y/n tightly with the 4 girls cheering.
