"L/n-sensei, the interview is about to start in a few minutes. Please get yourself ready!" An employee said as I nodded.
I'm Y/n L/n, a book author that has reached some fame. Today, I'm gonna be interviewed for my newest book. It's a book that tells about my high school days, the part of my life where I had troubles. I started writing at that part of my life but I can't even see a bit of success. But here I am now, all the hard work paid off.
"Alright, I hope this goes well." I said to myself as I readied myself backstage.
"And our special guest for today, the ever famous author that has his new book in the best-selling charts, Y/n L/n!" Yamato-san, the host said as I went out of the backstage, shook his hand, waved at the audience, and sat down. This is for national television. I was a bit hesitant as I am nervous in times like this but it is also an opportunity to gain more publicity for the book so I accepted, not adding that I was already on national television a few times before.
"L/n-san, I just finished reading your book yesterday and all I can say is that it was great! May I ask why you wrote about such a topic? And that ending you gave us, it wasn't common for you to have your books end like that." Yamato-san said, is he perhaps a fan of my works?
"Well, this new story of mine titled 'Bittersweet' lives up to its name. It's based around how I started writing and how I came to be. Actually, it was too based on myself that it retells my high school life with much emphasis on my second to last year in high school. My books keep getting rejected back then... but there was this girl that gave me hope. She made me have hope in my darkest times and not to add that I was attracted to her even before those events. But to know why it was bittersweet is for you guys to read about." I said to them, explaining how the book came to be.
"Woah, what a life you had, L/n-san. Your book states that the protagonist and his heroine studied in different schools but are near to each other. But of course we did our research and we found old pictures of you in Otonokizaka High School but you have a different uniform; Our research team also concluded that the heroine's school is based on Otonokizaka and judging by the looks of it, you're in the same age group as the once famous idol group Mu's... Is there any possibility that the said girl is perhaps one of them?" Yamato-san asked. While it is true that it is in fact one of them. But is it right to say that it is one of them? This might cause a bit of attention now that I think about it... I guess I'll just say what most people say in such questions.
"I do not confirm or deny such a question. But yes, I did study in a high school near Otonokizaka and is in the same age group as them." I said.
"Keeping it a secret, I see... But anyways we can't force you to give a statement now, right? Let's go on with the next questions!"

(3rd person POV)
"That interview was tiresome..." Y/n said as he laid down on his bed, finally at home after a very busy day.
"I need to sleep now... I still have things to do tomorrow..." Y/n said to himself as he dozed to sleep.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Y/n! So how did it go? Was your book accepted?" Honoka, Y/n's girlfriend, asked as he got out of the publishing office after being interviewed to get a chance of publishing a book.
"It got rejected..." Y/n said as Honoka hugged him, trying to comfort her boyfriend.
Y/n L/n, a high schooler that aspires to be an author. This is his first time receiving a chance to have his book published but he ended up getting rejected. Honoka Kosaka, leader of Mu's and Y/n's girlfriend. They have been a couple even before the formation of the idol group and Y/n has been her biggest fan ever since. The two of them met during their first day in High School when they bumped into each other and became good friends; after that, they had developed mutual feelings, and the rest is history.
"That's okay, there's always a next time. Remember to fight!" Honoka said with a determined and motivational look on her face, making Y/n blush because of it.
"I love you, Honoka. I'm thankful to have you by my side." Y/n said, making Honoka blush.
"Y- You don't have to say that, you know..." Honoka said, not being used to Y/n's sweetness.
This sweet moment of the couple however is not something that would have a happy end. A few months later, Honoka's idol group was still growing in popularity but Y/n's was still in a dire spot, still struggling to make his dream come true. Y/n became insecure and unsure of his ability... Too insecure even for Honoka to handle.
Y/n called Honoka to go to their usual meeting spot, Honoka was already there as Y/n arrived a minute later.
"Honoka, I- I'm breaking up with you." Y/n said as Honoka immediately started to cry.
"Y/n, you're kidding, right? Tell me you're joking!" Honoka said as she hugged the boy, with the boy resisting, trying to get off of Honoka's grasp.
"I'm not joking and I think this is for the better." Y/n said as he was finally free from Honoka's hug and ran away.
This was their last meeting but Honoka still made drastic measures to see Y/n; often going to Y/n's school searching for Y/n but to no avail.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Crap! I had that dream again!" Y/n said as he woke up.
"Oh no! I'm gonna be late for that book signing!" Y/n said as he rushed to eat, bathe, dress, and go to the venue.

"Damn, that was tiring." Y/n said to himself as he walked around the part of the city he's in.
After a few minutes of walking, he saw a bookstore.
"Ah... Might as well check if I have my books there." Y/n said to himself as he went inside the bookstore.
He was walking slowly in the aisles, checking if his book can actually be bought in the shop. After a minute of looking, he finally found it.
He was about to grab a book until another hand took hold of it. He looked at the person and couldn't believe what he saw.
"Ho- Honoka?"
[Will probably have a part 2.]
