Maki x reader: Runaway Secrets.

(3rd person POV)

"Ready to go now?" Y/n said with a smirk as he stood at the entrance of the music room, waiting for his girlfriend, Maki.

"Sure, I was only waiting for you after all." She said as she finished playing the piano, stood up, and went to Y/n.

"Sorry~ Student council work was pretty busy." Y/n said as he gave Maki a hug, with him rubbing his cheeks lazily onto hers.

"Y- Y/n... Stop doing that." She said to the boy as she tried to hide her blush.

"Can't you just give me this as a reward for a hard day's work?" Y/n said to his girlfriend.

"F- Fine..." Maki said shyly, which made Y/n wonder how cute his girlfriend is.

"Time to walk my cute girlfriend home~" Y/n told with bliss as he Maki started walking, hand-in-hand.

"Actually... papa is already in front of the school. We have to cancel our plans for this day, sadly." Maki said as Y/n frowned.

"Jeez, how long are you gonna keep our relationship with your parents?" Y/n said.

"Well, aren't you keeping this a secret to your parents either?" Maki retaliated.

"Y- yeah..." Y/n reluctantly said.

Y/n and Maki are childhood friends turned lovers. The L/n family and Nishikino family are both high in wealth and status. Both the L/n family and Nishikino family are well known for their status in the medical field with both families owning hospitals, but as much as both families are technically rivals, they still have a good relationship with each other. Both Y/n and Maki are the only child of their respective families and their parents also pressure them to become doctors.

Safe to say that Y/n and Maki fell in love due to their parents often meeting up and with the two of them relating to each other so much. Although Maki loves playing the piano and has musical intelligence, Y/n has not. But because of this, Y/n also feels bad for Maki because of the pressure her parents give to her. Y/n knows that Maki loves music, not even adding that his girlfriend is part of an idol group. Both of them can shrug it off by calling it the harsh reality.

The need for them to hide this relationship is because of their fairly conservative parents when it comes to love. But even if the relationship would be found out by their parents, Y/n has already accepted it's hypothetical consequences.

Y/n let go of Maki's hand as the both of them continued walking.

"I guess we need to part ways here. We can't let him see us together holding hands, right?" Y/n said as Maki agreed.

Y/n started running as fast as he could while Maki walked at a normal pace. As Y/n arrived at the entrance he was greeted by Maki's father, who was actually waiting there like what Maki said.

"Hello, Y/n-kun. Have you seen Maki?" Asked by the adult, making Y/n stop in his tracks.

"Ah, Nishikino-san... I saw Maki a moment ago. Maybe she's already heading here." The boy said.

"I see,thanks for answering. Also, tell your parents I said 'hi'." Maki's father said as both of them said farewell.

Contrary to what people may think, Y/n Isn't someone who has his personal butler and driver that takes him in and out of school in a fancy limousine. Y/n is in fact the opposite of all this. Y/n lives alone in his apartment and has a part-time job. Although his parents still give him monthly allowance, he insists on only using the money he earns thus saving his monthly allowances.
