"I don't get why you called me all the way over here, Mackenzie," I say to her while I walk into her house.
"Yeah girl, I gotta be somewhere." Agrees Sapphire while she and Eric follow behind me.
Mackenzie called us all over to her house saying she had a surprise for us. I tried to pry it out of her mother but Mrs. Brown would not budge. I even tried to tempt her with a box of Ferrero Rochers. She nearly caved but I guess her loyalties towards her daughter are extremely strong.
"God, can't you two take a break from fucking?" Mackenzie questions with disgust in her voice while she points two fingers at Eric and Sapphire. I watch them both giggle at each other while he whispers something into her ear which makes her blush. I have all my money on the fact it had to have been something extremely dirty.
I walk up behind Mackenzie and hug her from behind. I use my sweet voice to say "Baby, can you please tell us what our surprise is now?". I place soft kisses to earn my way and it works. She scoffs with a small laugh and finally gives up.
"Ugh, fine. It's in the basement. Come on."
We all look at her with a weird expression and she looks back at us with an eyebrow raised. "What?" she questions as if what she just said is completely normal.
"The basement?" Eric questions. "Is your surprise a sex dungeon or summat?". I can't help the laugh that leaves my mouth. Sapphire swats her hand on Eric's chest to stop him from mocking her best friend.
"Will you dipshits just come downstairs?" she urges.
We all start following her downstairs. I see Eric slap Sapphire's arse and laugh. He looks at me to see if I'm proud but I just look at him like he's a weirdo to annoy him even more. "Buzzkill" he insults me.
We finally get to the bottom of the basement and see a room filled with wooden flooring and a mirror wall. It looks rough. However, Mackenzie stands there in the middle with her arms wide open and a smile that goes from one ear to the other. "SURPRISE!"
I give her my fakest smile and then look to see Sapphire and Eric are doing the same. I think we're all as confused as each other. I walk over to her and kiss her lips to soften the blow that is about to come. She puckers her lips back at me and pecks my lips. "Baby?" I question
She looks at me with those eyes. Those innocent eyes and I realize I'm going to start pussying out from saying this. "Is this the surprise?"
She furrows her eyebrows and brings her arms down. "Yes. Look I thought it would be nice to make a small space for us all to just chill out, get drunk and enjoy each other's company. So I got some new flooring fitted, put up large IKEA mirrors...which fell on my head a couple of times... and put some bean bags."
I smile at her cuteness to do this for us. She was always thinking of others. Sapphire giggles and walks up to her. "It looks like a dance studio," she says to Mackenzie.

"RIGHT?!" she shouts back at Sapphire while nodding at her. "The only thing we need is..." she walks over to the corner and presses a button on a remote. Music starts blasting through. "MUSIC!"
Sapphire's face drops and the lights become colorful and move with the beat. They both scream in unison and start dancing, with no care in the world. I stand by Eric and watch both Mackenzie and Sapphire just laugh and dance in weird ways together. I look at Eric and see him smiling while watching Sapphire laugh.
"You're starting to fall for her, aren't you?" I question him. Only he can hear me because I'm stood extremely close to him and the music is way too loud for the girls to hear.
"I wish I wasn't," he replies back to me while keeping his gaze locked on Sapphire. "She doesn't want anything serious, and I don't want to ruin what we have."
"I get that but don't you think you should tell her. I know Mackenzie will be happy for her and you." I tell him.
"Bro, right now I get to be by her side all the time and adore her from far. I don't want to ruin any of that."
I give him a nod of understanding and watch Mackenzie live and smile. They both stop their dancing and look over at us. We see a devious look across their faces. Eric and I look at each other and then back at them. They run up to us and grab us by our hands and invite us to dance.
Mackenzie wraps her arms around my shoulders and I place my hands on her hips while we dance along. I'm a shitty dancer but I could care less right now. I'm here with her at this moment. Able to be near her and adore from up close. Fall in love with her smile every day. Appreciate everything she does for us. I bring my face to hers and place a passionate kiss on her lips and she reciprocates. It does not scream horny, or sexy, but simply says that I am lucky to have you in my life.
