This world isn't worth saving. Its tragedies and sadness will never truly disappear.
But even so, it's the place she once tried to protect.
I remember that.
And I will never forget it.
That's why... I'll keep fighting.- 𝐻𝑜𝓂𝓊𝓇𝒶 𝒜𝓀𝑒𝓂𝒾
3rd Person POV
Miku stared horrified at the entire scene.
Intense tears streamed down her face from her completely faded eyes... and she breathed in the sharpest, most shaken gasp.
In one eye, a reflection was displayed of her best friend, the one she viewed as the sister she never had, lifeless in Iida's arms. And the other... it displayed a reflection of that scene of her soulmate lifeless on the ground earlier in the day.
She was struggling to breathe.
And from her slightly parted lips, the second shaken breath she had breathed in erupted into a deadly screech—
A piercing white noise filled her ears.
All time completely froze around them all.
All time except... her lifeless best friend.
And after only a mere second of taking in the three frozen-in-time boys around her...
Miku bolted it up from the grass and ran over to Vanessa and Iida.
It was just as it was earlier in the day. She already experienced it all once... but had to experience it all over again.
She was so distracted by the overwhelming emotions that despite the intense tears that clouded her vision... she could still see perfectly.
She was so distracted by the overwhelming emotions that she didn't even register her bolting it past Shoto, who was frozen mid-run and whose tears that had fallen off his face were frozen mid-air.
She was so distracted by the overwhelming emotions that she didn't even register the fact she had used her Quirk again and was still conscious.
The pure adrenaline rushing through her veins... the overwhelming emotion rushing through her veins...
It strengthened her. It strengthened all of her.
Her head stung worse than knives being jabbed into her body and twisted around multiple times...
But she didn't even notice. She didn't physically feel the pain.
Miku slid down onto the ground in front of her best friend and class president, and only now did she notice the lifeless girl wasn't frozen in a purple hue just like everything and everyone surrounding her.
She desperately shoved her hands onto the small sections of her chest that didn't have tendrils stuck in them, her rapid tears falling down onto her impaled body. They mixed with the brunette's blood, rolled off her body and dripped onto the wet ground, mixing with the water on the dirt from the rain.
Ever since she woke up within her boyfriend's arms... it had never stopped raining. Only now had it temporarily halted due to Time Stop freezing every droplet that entered the radius.
Miku fucking hated the rain. If it had never been raining... maybe Vanessa would have been able to fight against Shigaraki without One For All, not needing her drawings to be strengthened from the ability to shred from the rain... and maybe she would have never entered Shigaraki's core to trigger that devastating attack...
And maybe she would have lived after all.
From under her scraped palms, Miku felt Vanessa's heart no longer beating... but she could still feel a very faint presence within her body.
