Miku's eyes frantically shot open, and her body flinched.

Her text ringtone had gone off.

She quickly reached for her phone in her skirt pocket, and looked down at the screen with half-lidded eyes.

And when she read the text that had appeared on her screen...

Midoriya asked me to come help him. Here is where we'll be just in case I call for help

N-No...

Miku's shoulders dropped and her body hunched forward, her eyes frantically shaking as they stared at the message on the screen.

Her heart was pounding a million beats a minute. Her free hand desperately slammed against her chest that hurt from how fast her heart beated.

Terror had consumed her gaze.

But Endeavor had received the worst out of them all from the villain. Passed out next to his eldest son, the number one was almost completely burnt, his entire body still scorching from his son's blue flames. And on top of that, his right forearm had been cut off by All For One.

As Shoto stared into the abyss, eyes half-open and trying to keep himself conscious, his father's words that he spoke before passing out rang through his mind.

"Vanessa... Wherever you are... I'm sorry for the terrible things I have said to you, and that you got caught up in my mistakes!"

His father had apologized to his entire family, himself included, and yet...

He couldn't get his apology to her out of his head.

Maybe it was because... his heart hurt knowing she would never get to hear those words from him herself.

His heterochromia eyes fell. He was utterly exhausted. His head finally fell, his body slouched over. He felt like he couldn't stay awake any longer—
