**Laurens POV**
"After causing quite a commotion, the minister asked that we appoint one person in the group to speak on everyone's behalf and then told everyone else to leave the room. I spent a good hour trying to make sure that every single piece of evidence against the minister that we had collected was stated. I didn't even stop to collect my thoughts, I was to afraid that If I left any spot for the minister or the council member's to interject they'd throw me right out.
When I was sure I had made every point that I wanted to I finally stoped to take a proper look at all of the men and women sitting in the council. They all had this look of disbelief written across their face. I couldn't decide if that was good thing or a bad thing until my eyes landed on the Minister of Magic himself. He was sunk so low in seat, and his face matched our shade of Weasley red hair I knew we had gotten him.
No one spoke for a long time until the head council member spoke on behalf of the rest of the council asking the Minister if he had anything to say on the matter, but he could be heard mumbling under his breath that what ever the Minister said wouldn't matter anyway. Hiding historical documents, altering political laws, forging signatures, and using memory altering charms and potions are all cause for life imprisonment in Azkaban on their own.
That's when the council man called in the Azkaban guards to escort the Minister to his own cell with strict instruction that he have his own personal guards to keep a close eye on him.""When we saw the guards enter the court room we thought they were taking you and coming to us next" Percy spoke up ashamed. "We left you to go worn mum about what we had done just in case they decided to come for us too."
The Weasley boys all looked particularly ashamed that they had run out on their brother."No worries lads, you were just doing what you thought you had to do to worn the people we love the most" Charlie said turning to look at me and giving my hand a small squeeze as a sign of comfort.
I returned the gesture and looked up to meet his eyes and mouthed "I love you" to him. The smile he gave me in return reached all the way to eyes. My heart skipped a beat and I thought I might pass out because I was so in love with this man and all the stupid things he did to prove that he loved too. I knew that he would do anything to make me happy, and I couldn't believe how unbelievably lucky I had gotten.
I still wasn't happy that a law like the marriage law could exist and be legal but knowing they paired me to my true soulmate I knew I couldn't hold a grudge about it forever. Finally life could return to normal. In another week we would all return to Hogwarts to finish off the year only now we wouldn't have to worry about studying for our N. E. W. T. exams and planning weddings at the same time.
Life from here on out would finally be simple. Something non of us have experienced at Hogwarts since Harry Potter arrived.
**Author Note**
Please don't hate me that it's taken me this long to write something and this more of a filler chapter. I hadn't planned on making a filler chapter but I wasn't happy with my original draft and where it was going. I did however want to get something out for you guys since it's been so so long and truths the this filler chapter needed to happen to wrap up the on going drama to continue with the story.
On that note, this story probably only has a few chapters left in it. I didn't have a set number in mind but I know I don't want to keep dragging it out either. Don't worry there are still plenty of shenanigans left in store for this crew.
As always please leave a comment down below and tell me your favorite part of this book so far & don't forget to vote!
