Blessing in Disguise

Adjusting

**Charlie's POV**
  I knew I should have been paying more attention to the sorting that was happening right in-front of me, but my eyes couldn't look anywhere but at her. Her smile hadn't left her face since the sorting started. 
  I loved that she was able to joke and banter back and fourth with my siblings with ease. Watching her with them filled me so much pride and happiness.
  I really did luck out with my marriage law pairing I thought to myself. She's already a member of my family, I know mum has considered Lauren a daughter since she met Ginny.
  We haven't spent that much together which is strange considering she's know my family for seven years. But considering I used to prefer spending all my time on the Reserve with the dragons I'm not surprised. Even with the short amount of time we've spent getting to know one another since our pairing, I know that she already had me wrapped around her finger.
  The days we've spent apart I felt like a part of me was missing, with her absence I was left with a small tugging sensation in my chest.
  Right now though, all I could feel was warmth swarming around me. I know that it will take some time for Laur to fully trust me given her past but I'd be damned if she didn't know there wasn't anything I wouldn't do for her.
  I was so lost in thought that I didn't even know the feast was over till Headmistress McGonagall cleared her throat and addressed me directly.

**Lauren's POV**
  The sorting ceremony was my absolute favorite things about returning to Hogwarts for the start of term. I loved to see all the incoming first years worries melt away as they found their new home with which ever house they were found to belong to.
  Before I knew it, the feast was over and Headmistress McGonagall had dismissed years 1-6 but asked that all current and returning 7th years stay behind along with marriage law partners.
  I had no doubt that what ever McGonagall was about to tell us, that this has something to do with the marriage law we were all faced with.
  Clearing her throat she began. "Student as you know, this year will be looking a little bit different than previous years. You have an additional class added to your timetables. This new class is mandatory due to the marriage law. This class is your Marriage & Parenting class."
  At this announcement a collective groan could be heard throughout the great hall. While I wasn't thrilled about this new class, I knew that it was probably in our best interest to take this class seriously as we are all young couples navigating new territory.
  "Secondly McGonagall continued, you will not be living in your house common rooms. A new wing has been added to the castle for everyone participating in the marriage law. There will be 8 couples to a common room. Where you will share a living/dinning room and kitchen. Off the living room and kitchen each couple will have their own space to do with as they please.
  Flinch and myself will be directing you towards your new living space so please follow us. Oh and before you go, please note that your classes have all been canceled for this week and will pick up next week.
  We want you to take some time to adjust to this new... erm... arrangement if you may. Use this next week as an opportunity to better get to know your spouse."
  Once McGonagall had finished her speech I looked up to Charlie seeing him still sitting in his spot up at the teacher table totally lost in thought.
  He only snapped out of it when McGonagall addresses him directly. I let out a laugh and just shock my head at him as Charlie made his way towards me. A small deep blush spreading across his face.
  "Great start there Char, do you even know what Headmistress McGonagall just announced?" I asked him as we made our way out of the Great Hall.
  "Umm no?  I was a little lost in thought while she was talking."
Laughing at him I just told him to follow me and that he'd find out soon enough.

  When I stepped into the common room that Charlie and I would be sharing with the rest of the Weasley clan & there spouse along with Hermione & Draco my jaw was on the floor (pictured below because I'm terrible with descriptions).

  The living room with kitchen was stunning! It had a very homey feel and tied in our Gryffindor and Slytherin colors very tastefully.
Off of the two sides of the room where two staircases leading to what I assumed would be our individual bedrooms.
  When Charlie and I entered our bedroom I was shocked. I didn't think it could be better than our common room but I was wrong. 

  I loved that it was so open, airy, and light. The huge floor to ceiling windows brought in tons of natural light which I loved.
  Our room faced right over the black lake and the view was mesmerizing. I don't think I would ever willing leave this room. "I turned to Charlie, what do you think?"
"It's almost perfect, just a few changes I think and than it will be" he mused.
  "I agree Char, but right now I'm to tired to do anything about it. It's perfect for the moment" I noted contently.
  Suddenly the day's activities seemed to have worn on me because I felt as if I could fall asleep standing up. "I'm going to change and than head to bed okay Char?"
  "What ever you want love. Have the bathroom first and then I'll use it after you."
I just nodded my head and went to find my pajamas and toiletry bag.  
I washed my face and brushed my teeth, and by the time I walked out of the bathroom Charlie was sitting on our bed in just a pair of joggers and NO SHIRT! Que the internal screaming.
  I stoped right in my tracks and just stared at him despite telling my self to keep moving. I was stuck firmly in place. 
  "Like what you see you love?" Charlie chided. A blush immediately crept up onto my cheeks, I could only nod my head not trusting myself to speak. I was still stuck in my spot when Charlie got up from his place on the bed and started making his way towards me.
"I'm just going to brush my teeth really fast and then we can call it a night alright?" As he passed by me he planted a kiss on top of my head and continued making his way to the bathroom.
  Not wanting to get caught still stuck in the spot I'd been standing in since I walked out of the bathroom I quickly scurried to my side of the bed. Once Charlie was back in the bed I immediately curled up into his side. Letting out a large yawn and a quick good night to Charlie, I didn't even wait for a response before my eyes had quickly fluttered closed and darkness consumed me.

  What do you guys think so far? I'm really enjoying writing this story and I hope you are enjoying reading it. I've noticed I don't have a ton a of readers (which is okay!!) but I've noticed that those who are reading aren't commenting or voting. Is this something I should continue writing? Let me know.
