Safe at Last

**Lauren's POV**
The pain in my abdomen was so intense I though I was going to pass out. I had to keep reminding myself that I had a job to finish.
No one could help me now that Bill and Draco would still be bound till someone could use the counter charm on them and no one else was set to step foot on the pitch for at least a half an hour.
I was strong I was going to get through this, my life and happiness with Charlie depended on this moment and I was foolish to think anyone but me could end this.

"I'm so sorry my lovebug, I didn't want to harm you like this but it's the only way" Nick told me has he came to my side. "It was always supposed to be you and me. I see now that the Weasley boy has brainwashed you into think he loves you and that you could be happy with him, but you never will be." He tried to reassure me as he stroked the side of my face.
"You must be even crazier than I thought you were Nicholas if you think I could be happy with you after everything you've put me through, past and present." I spat back at him.
That was definitely the wrong thing to say though because it only seemed to make him madder. As he leaned into whisper in my ear, whatever was lodged into my abdomen seemed to make its way deeper as the pain increased and a small Yelp escaped my lips.

"Oh sweet sweet Lauren" Nick sang song sickly as his demeanor suddenly changed from one of concert to darkness.
  "It's so funny to think you have a choice in this. You'll be happy with me one day. You just have to give it time and let all the lies that boy told wash away."
"I think it's funny you think I'd ever go anywhere with you Nick." I gritted out through the pain. "I've seen things so much more clearer since you left for me dead not so long ago.
  I've realized now that back then I was weak and need to feel loved by someone. I was blind to the real you." I had to stop and catch my breath.
The pain was starting to take over all of my senses and it was making it hard to concentrate on anything but the pain. My vision was starting to go, I was getting week and Nick sensed it.

"Such a waste you are, you had potential to do great things my dear" Nick spoke to me, stoking his hand down my cheek.
  "If you won't come with me, no one else gets to have you. It's a shame really, because I do love you my lovebug. If you tell me you'll come with me, you will have all you could ever want with me." He said getting up and holding out his had for me to take.

  I was willing to play his game, I only had one shot at this and this was it. So I reached out with one hand to take Nicks hand and used my free hand to discreetly pull my wand out of my boot.
  Just as he was pulling me up off the ground  my demeanor changed. I let the darkness in me that I only ever felt whenever I was around Nick take over me for the first time.
  "I love Charlie, I could never love you Nick. You're a monster and I wish Voldemort had killed you like he told me he did. I hate you and I never want to see you again." I told him so low and so coldly even he was frozen in place.
  I used his moment of hesitation to pull my wand from my boot fully and pointed it at Nick and with my last moments of clarity to use Sectumsempra on him.
  If I had timed everything properly, Charlie and Harry should be stepping onto the the pitch with a team of Auroras on hand to bring Nick to Azkaban, death would have been to easy.
  As Nick let go of my hand, I started falling back towards the ground. I could hear yelling coming from all around me.
  The last thing I saw before blackness was Charlie and Madame Pomfrey running towards me and all I could do was smile, for we had finally defeated Nick.

**Authors Note**
  I am so so sorry!! I really suck, I know I promised this chapter last week but grad school is kicking my butt and I've put all my free time into studying for midterms next week.
  Don't let the end of this chapter fool you, I still have more to write! Hope you all liked this chapter. Will Lauren be okay? Will Charlie and Madame Pomfrey get to her in time?
