"Alois, tell me what you want and I'll-" Trancy scoffed, sticking his nose in the air and reaching out beside them to pluck a rose from the bush. He sniffed it before dropping it on the bench between them.
"You haven't even said please. I don't think you really want to know."
"I-I... of course I want to know!" Ciel nearly trembled with impatient rage. Unsure of what information, if any, this was going to provide him, his blue eye growing darker as he took a deep, exasperated breath. Alois sighed, shaking his head a little, realizing then he still wasn't going to get to see his companion beg him for information... but there could be something... the next best thing....
"Alright then... if you aren't going to say please then I'll have to think of something else..." he slid himself closer to Ciel, knocking the plucked flower to the ground at their feet. Ciel leaned back but couldn't go very far, trapped between Trancy and cold iron. The blonde reached out a hand, running his fingers up Ciel's cheek once more making him fight the urge to pull away from the older boy. Trancy smiled, his fingertips now playing at the edge of the little Lord's eye patch. "I think I'd like to get a better look at your contract seal...." there was a long, uncomfortable pause while Ciel mulled it over, lower lip caught softly between his teeth, then lowered his eyes, nodding hesitantly.
"O-okay...." He started to reach for it, but his hand was smacked away, Alois smiling at him almost deviously. He slipped his fingers slowly up the younger boy's cheekbone, letting the thin strap catch on his index finger, pushing it up to slowly reveal the amethyst eye peering out at him. His smile widened as he slipped the patch off over Ciel's head, running his fingers through soft, grey/blue locks before taking a moment to press his palm against his companions warm, reddened cheek. Ciel sat there, silent and tense, his eyes averted until both were revealed. He blinked several times, trying to become accustomed to such bright light, then his mismatched eyes met Trancy's sky blues.
"Lovely." Alois whispered, taking one extra moment to run his thumb over Ciel's cheekbone before the younger boy pulled away. Smiling coyly, Trancy dangled the eyepatch from two fingers and Ciel snatched it away, placing it in his lap. He fiddled with it for a moment and contemplated putting it back on but supposed there was really no need. All the servants had gone to town, and it was only the three of them. I suppose this really is our shared secret. He tucked the patch into his pocket and sighed, finally looking back at Alois.
"Fine. You've seen it. Now tell me about their dealings. How do you know it's true?" Alois leaned back once more, arms above his head, batting softly at a rose bloom. Ciel relaxed a little himself then, more secure in knowing he was finally getting the information he unexpectedly craved.
"Well, I overheard Claude talking to Sebastian about it. I was hiding outside the library and I heard them in there, so I snuck in to see what it was all about. Claude thinks he keeps such a good watch over me but there's-" Ciel cut the story short, not interested in long winded tales about sneaking around Trancy Manor.
"And? What did you hear?" the blonde sighed heavily and looked over at his companion, rolling his eyes playfully.
"Patience is a virtue, you know." Ciel faced Trancy, resting his knee against the back of the bench, leaning his head against the cool iron. His head felt heavy, like the world could spin if he didn't stop it. He blinked a few times to clear his thoughts and smiled a little.
"One I do not possess."
"Obviously not." Alois smiled sweetly, chuckling a little at the raw truth of Ciel's response.
