Time passed and eventually Ciel's tears slowed, and he wiped his eyes with the sleeve of his shirt. His head leaned against Sebastian's shoulder and he was held protectively in his butler's arms, feeling secure and contented. Ciel exhaled softly, sitting up a little straighter, running his fingers through his hair, trying to regain the noble confidence that had slipped away just then. As he tried to compose himself, Sebastian pinched his cheek softly and Ciel blushed, slapping his hand away.

"Stop that." His voice was soft, with no real power, and Sebastian chuckled softy, pulling the little Earl closer, an arm about his waist, and Ciel tried not to smile at the embrace. His response positively dripped with sarcasm.

"My deepest apologies, Bocchan." Sebastian slipped his fingers beneath Ciel's chin and raised his head, smiling sweetly at him. When the smile was returned, he captured those soft lips gently with his own. The little Lord melted into the kiss, his hand drifting up Sebastian's chest and tugging softly at his tie, lips parted just a bit. Sebastian broke the kiss, smiling down at him as Ciel lowered his head, a blush rising to his cheeks as he rested his head against Sebastian's shoulder once more. He was silent for a long moment as he fiddled with the tie.

"You can't do that again." Ciel whispered. Eyebrow raised, Sebastian opened his mouth to question the statement, but was cut short. "The bruises... you have to be gentler with me... Tanaka tried to cover them; he was furious." The smile grew on Sebastian's lips, out of view of the little Earl curled up against him. He slipped his fingers just inside Ciel's unbuttoned collar, exposing the obvious bite wound, the bruise around it a rather unappealing shade of green and brown. He inspected it, indeed a bit pleased with himself at the ferocity of the bruise, such an obvious badge of ownership, as valid as a collar and leash.

"You know, young Master... I had planned on taking care of those..." Ciel pulled his head back and looked up at him questioningly. Without another word Sebastian used his teeth to unlatch the pearl button on his glove, stripping it off and pulled Ciel close once more, manipulating him until his legs were thrown across Sebastian's lap, leaning him back in the crook of the arm that held fast to his waist. Hands held up before him, Ciel let himself be handled until Sebastian slipped his hand behind his neck, palm pressed firmly against the bite mark. He looked down at his little Master in his arms, eyes flashing with fire before they closed. Breath quickening, Ciel felt heat against his wound, at first only a gentle warmth, but it grew viciously, and he writhed in Sebastian's grasp.

"Sebastian... it hurts... wait..." Pushing against him to no avail, he cried out a little, a single pained tear slipping from his amethyst eye, which glowed brightly in the dark. Sebastian tightened his grip and Ciel could only whine and writhe in his strong grasp until the heat began to subside, the pain beginning to dull to a slow ache. Sebastian opened his eyes, which still burned brightly and released his hold on the young Earl's neck, smiling down at him.

"There. All better." Ciel reached up a hand cautiously and ran his fingers over the previously tender flesh. He could still feel the heat radiating from him, but the skin itself was unbroken and the residual pain from the bruise and heat faded. Mismatched eyes widened and he looked up at Sebastian with a comically shocked look on his face. Sebastian laughed loudly and Ciel blushed, drawing his knees up to his chest and scooting back to his original position in the bed. He wrapped his arms around his legs again and hid his shy smile behind his knees.

"Bring me another brandy." The little Lord smiled behind his knees, watching as Sebastian uncorked the bottle and poured another nip of brandy into his glass with his single gloved hand. He offered it to Ciel, who took it and took a little sip. The raven-haired butler slipped off his single glove and tossed it lightly to the nightstand to lay with its mate before seating himself on the edge of the bed once more. Ciel watched his every move, and when those crimson eyes met his, he looked away, scooting himself over in the bed a bit, allowing room for his butler to join him at the head of the bed. Sebastian nodded silently and slipped off his shoes, tucking them under the edge of the bed once more before he leaned himself back against the headboard, long legs stretched out before him, ankles crossed, hands resting lightly on his waist.
