When the manor was empty, save for Sebastian and his Master, he went about preparing the meal. Being the first meal in several days Sebastian would have the chance to get credit for himself, he made sure everything was perfectly set, any smudges left by use from Tanaka or Mey-Rin wiped away studiously. He arranged the serving trays and started towards his Master's chamber, stopping only once to check his reflection in a mirror as he passed by. He slipped fingers through his hair, straightened his tie, stood to his full towering height, and smiled deviously at himself. Yes, this would do just fine.

The young Earl was still in the library and, having held only a passing interest in the book he had chosen, had fallen asleep on the velvet sofa. He laid there on his side, head resting heavily on one arm, the other lying limply across the book opened before him. A little trail of saliva trickled from is lips and he shifted a bit, curling his knees up closer to him, nestling his head further into the crook of his arm. Sebastian knocked lightly and, upon hearing no response, he entered. The sight of the little Lord lying there made him smile and he took a few extra moments to watch him. This was always his favorite, seeing his young Master so small and vulnerable before him, it sent a shiver up him and he ran his tongue over the tips of his fangs. He cleared his throat softly and when Ciel did not stir he ushered in the serving cart before approaching the young Lord, kneeling before him.

"Young Master?" he whispered quietly, brushing a few locks of hair away from Ciel's eyes, letting his gloved knuckles trace the line of his jaw. He stirred at this, a sleepy smile formed on his lips, sapphire eye slowly opening as he reached up to wipe away the trail of saliva his sleep had left behind.

"Sebastian?" the butler smiled kindly and bowed his head, one hand resting lightly upon Ciel's side, thumb tracing a gentle half circle along his ribs.

"Yes, Bocchan." Sebastian chuckled softly, lifting the little Lord's chin with his curled forefinger and ran his thumb over Ciel's lips. "It's time to wake up, I've prepared your dinner." Smiling a little more in his dozing state, he closed his eyes again, pushing the open book off the sofa as he moved towards Sebastian. The smack of the hardbound novel hitting the floor jolted him out of his hazy half sleep and he blinked rapidly several times, his eye finally focusing on Sebastian kneeling before him. He sat up quickly, smacking Sebastian's hand away, running his hands through his hair to straighten himself, then tugging at his blouse, eyes strategically avoiding contact with Sebastian.

"What are you doing here? Where is Tanaka?" Sebastian stood, rolling his eyes as he returned to the serving cart and brought it forward.

"Tanaka, as well as the others, have gone to see the play this evening. Apparently Mey-Rin had her heart set on going... and it being the final night..." Ciel cut him off, glaring at him as he approached.

"So, she's the one who sent you in here?"

"No. I sent them to town as a reward for their hard work this past week." With his back turned, Sebastian placed the covered plates on a table nearby, pulled out the chair for the young Earl and stood waiting. "I've prepared a lovely poached salmon with fresh steamed vegetables from the garden, as well as rice pilaf. I do hope it is to your liking." Ciel eyed him suspiciously, but stood and approached, looking over the meal before taking his seat.

"Is this supposed to be an apology dinner?" Once he was seated he began picking lazily at the meal before him, feigning disinterest even as his stomach rumbled.

"No. But I did prepare an exceptional dessert. Please, excuse me while I tend to the details." He bowed deeply and disappeared through the door. Ciel ate in silence for a while, enjoying his dinner, and just as he finished, he heard the soft knock at the door once more.
