Y/N: 'Today's the day. My big promotion. Everything I've done in my life has led up to this point.'

I pinch myself.

Y/N:'Nope,it's not a dream. This is happening,this is really fucking happening.'

My legs shaking from excitement,I made my way towards my boss's office.

Boss: "Y/N,for all your contribution to the company,I would like to promote you to be the mayor of a small island named: Bellsworth Island."

Y/N: "Sir I can't thank you enough,when do I head out?"

Boss: "I've scheduled a flight to the island for tomorrow. You should probably start packing now."

Y/N: "Got it!"

*Time skip
*Airport
*Y/N Pov

Speakers: "All passengers of flight 203,please proceed to gate 7,all passengers of flight 203,please proceed to gate 7,thank you."

Y/N: 'Alright,that's my flight. Bellsworth Island.'

Y/N: It was a smooth flight there. Looking out the plane window at the land below was fairly relaxing. It was about to be a long flight so I prepared to take a snooze.

*Time skip

*Isabelle Pov

Isabelle: "I heard we're getting a new resident! Should I prepare a tent?"

Tom Nook: "That won't be necessary,Isabelle. The new resident is our new mayor."

Isabelle: 'Holy shit! Our new mayor! I can't wait to meet him! Bellsworth hasn't had a mayor for a while now.'

Isabelle: "Then where will our new mayor stay?"

Tom Nook: "I already had a house built a week ago. It's not much,but our mayor won't mind. Also,once he arrives,you'll be bringing him there."

Isabelle: "Alrighty then!"

Isabelle: 'Well,got lots of work this afternoon. Might as well make a coffee first. Then,off to meet the mayor!'

I ran to Resident Services to get a coffee. I already had a pot boiling earlier,so it should be done.

Okay,this is my first time actually writing a story so... Maybe don't blast me? IDK about most of it so leave your thoughts I guess
