Y/N: "Tell you what,Isabelle. I don't know shit about fishing except for casting the line and reeling it in."

Isabelle: "It's alright. I'll teach you a thing or two."

Y/N: "Teach me two."

We laughed at my dumb joke.

Isabelle: "Ok."

I grabbed the fishing rods,lures and bait. Isabelle walked outside holding a huge cooler box to hold the fish we catch.

Isabelle: "How do I look,Y/N?"

She was wearing a beige fishing hat.

Y/N: "You look cute,Izzy."

Isabelle: "Did you just call me Izzy?"

Y/N: "Uh... yeah. You don't like it?"

Isabelle: "No..."

She got closer and kissed me.

Isabelle: "I love it."

She took out something from behind her.

Isabelle: "Here. I have one for you as well."

She put my fishing hat on. It was an olive green one.

Isabelle: "It looks nice on you!"

I scratched the back of my head.

Y/N: "Thanks."

Isabelle: "Alright,are we gonna stand here flattering each other,or are we gonna go fishing?"

I chuckled.

Y/N: "Let's go then."

We started at the pier. Isabelle scattered the fish bait and cast her line,whistling a little tune as she did so.

Y/N: "Flo Rida?"

Isabelle: "Yup!"

I joined in for a little bit when something was tugging on her line.

Isabelle: "Got something!"

She struggled a lil' bit reeling it in,but then caught a tuna.

Y/N: "Want a picture?"

Isabelle: "Hell yeah!"

Y/N: "Say cheese!"

Isabelle held the monster of a fish as I took a picture.

Isabelle: "You take one!"

Y/N: "What? I didn't catch that."

Isabelle: "At least hold it."

Y/N: "Alright."

I held the tuna. The smell was... yeah. What you expect a fish to smell like. It was slightly heavy.

Isabelle: "Smile!"

Y/N: "Your wish is my command."

She giggles and snapped the pic.

Isabelle: "That's 7000 Bells alone."

Y/N: "Well,any other fish around here?"

Isabelle: "Other than the Blue Marlin,no. Those are the only fish here in February. We're here to have fun,not sit on a dock all day. Plus... we could catch something cool."

Y/N: "Yeah,you're right. Where to now?"

*Isabelle Pov

We fished for a little while. I hadn't caught caught anything yet. Y/N was... still trying to get the hang of it. He didn't catch any fish yet,but he was smiling. I sneakily snapped a pic.

Isabelle: 'Cute. That's a keeper.'

Y/N: "No luck. Where next?"

Isabelle: "You're not casting it right. Here,lemme show you."

I showed Y/N the correct way to cast a line. He was really eager to learn and then cast it himself.

Y/N: "Hey,I did it!"

His line caught something.

Y/N: "Oooh!"

Isabelle: "Yes! Go Y/N!"

He quickly reeled it in and caught... a rusty can. We both laughed.

*Y/N Pov

Y/N: 'I haven't actually caught anything yet.'

I took a deep breath. I cast the line and waited.

Y/N: "Yeet!"

Something took the bait.

Isabelle: "Reel it in! "

Isabelle was excited. I reeled it up. At first,I thought I lost the fish. Then,I noticed what I had hauled up.

Y/N: "An... anchovy?"

Isabelle: "Want a picture?"

Y/N: "Sure,that'll look nice on social."

Isabelle: "I sense sarcasm."

I chuckled.

Y/N: "No shit. It will be funny,though."

Isabelle: "Yeah,it will. Smile!"

I smiled as the flash went off.

Y/N: "We could feed it to a bigger fish."

She cast her line again.

Isabelle: "Like an oarfish?"

Y/J: "Yes,like an oar-"

Isabelle: "I've got something! It's... too strong! I'm gonna need help."

I grabbed the handle and reel.

Y/N: "Got it!"

It was a battle of tug of war between me,Isabelle and the fish. I felt like the line was gonna snap. The fish gave in after a while and with all our energy,we hoisted the fish out of the sea,landing in our hands.

Y/N: "Is this..."

Isabelle: "An oarfish!"

We got home and put it in an orange and lime tank. I tossed the anchovy in and it immediately disappeared. We looked at the picture we took with the timer feature.

Y/N: "Now that's something worth keeping."

Isabelle: "Mmm hmm. Want a sandwich?"

Y/N: "Sure. I'm starving!"
