And so I finished the weekend work.

Y/N: "Whoo! I'm spent. I need some sleep."

My head hit the pillow like a ton of bricks.

*Isabelle Pov

I checked my phone. 4:00 AM.

Isabelle: 'Well,a little early work wouldn't hurt.'

I opened my laptop and saw a meme,probably from Y/N. I giggled a little.

I checked all the files.

Isabelle: 'Y/N actually finished it. Well of course he did,why would I doubt that?'

I stood there for a second.

Isabelle: '... Ok,maybe a little.'

I finished my coffee and checked my phone again. 5:00 AM.

Isabelle: 'Well,that's my call.'

I ran out the door.

Y/N: 'Pretty sure this is a daily thing now...'

I checked my phone.

Y/N: 'Yup.'

Marcus: "Morning coffee at The Roost."

I rolled my eyes.

Y/N: "Got it."

Y/N: 'One hell of a way to spend a day off. Today's gonna be different. Really different.'

*Marcus Pov

I was just staring at Rosie,admiring the most gorgeous thing I had ever seen as I waited for Y/N. That smile,that fur,those eyes... I took a deep breath.

Marcus: 'Perfect.'

Y/N: "I already know the drill."

Marcus: "Alright."

Y/N walked over and talked to Rosie. This time,the conversation was much shorter. They said their goodbyes and Y/N approached me again.

Marcus: "That was a surprisingly short talk. Is there something wrong?"

Y/N: "No. Just not much to talk about."

Marcus: "If you say so."

Y/N: "Oh yeah,I've got to ask you something. Are you... free this afternoon?"

Marcus: "Well,I have nothing to do at all today."

Y/N: "Alright,I was wondering if you could stop by for a friends night or something."

Marcus: "I'm all for it."

Y/N: "Sweet."

*Y/N & Isabelle's home

I arrived,but their place seemed... darker than usual?

Marcus: 'Odd.'

I entered the dimly lit room and sat down.

Marcus: "Good evening..."

I looked up.

Marcus: "Rosie? Why are you here?"

Rosie: "Well,Y/N invited me for a friends night and... now I'm here."

Marcus: "Strange,Y/N did the same."

Marcus: 'Oh Lord,Y/N,what did you do?'

Rosie: "I guess we can... get to know each other better?"

Marcus: "You're right."

There was silence in the room for well over half an hour. I decided to try and start a conversation.

Marcus: "Wonderful weather we're having. Wait,uh..."

Marcus: 'Wonderful weather we're having? It's 6 in the evening!'

Rosie giggled.

Marcus: 'What do I do? Why is she giggling? Did I make a fool of myself?'

Rosie: "Y/N's already told me a lot about you. You don't seem much like a chatterbox,though."

Marcus: "I'm just... nervous,that's all."

She giggled again.

Rosie: "It's alright,we've all had those moments."

I got a text from Y/N.

Y/N: "Spaghetti in the pot in the kitchen. Don't fuck this up."

Marcus: 'Guess I shouldn't fuck up.'

Rosie: "Whatcha doing there?"

Marcus: "Oh. Y/N sent me a text. He's running a little late. Y/N asked me to prepare something."

Rosie: "Ok."

I set the two plates of pasta on the table.

Marcus: "Here you go,Rosie."

Rosie: "Thank you."

We ate,talking every now and then. It was quite the chat. In fact,it was one of the best conversations I've had in my life.

Rosie: "Nevermind what I said earlier,you are a chatterbox."

Marcus: "Yeah,if I didn't know any better,you have the gift of the gab."

Rosie: "I guess so. I take it you've gotten comfortable around me now?"

Marcus: "Yeah."

Rosie: "Oh."

She reached into her purse and took a handkerchief out.

Rosie: "There's some sauce on your face."

Marcus: "Is there?"

She stood up a little,closer to me.

Rosie: "Right... there."

Marcus: "Thanks."

I looked up and our eyes met. My heart rate spiked. I could see Rosie blushing a little.

Rosie: "Tonight was fun,Marcus. See you tomorrow?"

Marcus: "Counting on it."

I admit,I was a little sick writing this,but I'm ok now. Hope you enjoyed!
