We quickly ran to my house and arrived just in time.

Y/N: "Wow,that's a huge storm outside. If we left a bit later we would've been soaked."

Isabelle: "Yeah,that was a close one."

I looked at my watch.

Y/N: "It's still early. Guess we'll be able to hang out after all."

Isabelle: "Yeah,guess so."

Y/N: "Want some coffee?"

Isabelle: "Sure. You have a coffee maker?"

Y/N: "Yeah."

I jokingly use my finger as a pen and doodled on my palm as I mumbled: "Two coffees." "Ok." She signalled,giggling. I leave the living room for a while,then returned with two mugs of coffee. I gave Isabelle hers and we immediately started sipping away.

Isabelle: "Jeez,it's boring in here. Wanna talk?"

Y/N: "Sure,I'll ask this time."

Isabelle: "Alright."

Y/N: "What's... your favorite drink?"

Isabelle: "Coffee, obviously."

Y/N: "No way! I have a coffee addiction as well!"

Isabelle: "What do you like to do in your spare time?"

Y/N: "Watch movies,scroll through memes and... that's pretty much it. Not interesting,I know.

Isabelle: "Not interesting? I do the same!"

Y/N: "For real?"

She nods,smiling. I started smiling as well.

'Wow,I've never had so much fun just talking to someone before. Especially someone I just met. This feels... different.'

Y/N: "You and I are not so different, Isabelle."

She giggles,yet again.

Isabelle: "Oooh,nice meme reference."

I smiled.

Y/N: "Glad you got it."

*Y/N Pov

Y/N: "Remember when you said you were probably the only person on the island with a copy of Doom Eternal?"

Isabelle: "Yeah,why?"

I exit the living room before coming back with my copy of Doom Eternal in my hand.

Isabelle: "Holy shit,no way!"

Y/N: "Yes way!"

Isabelle: "I know you had it,but I didn't think you brought it with you!"

Y/N: "Can't ever forget this gem."

Isabelle: "Yeah. No kidding."

We laughed a bit more before I took a look at my watch.

Y/N: "Oh. It's getting late,we should probably go to sleep now if we wanna get up early for work tomorrow."

Isabelle: "Yeah. I'm taking the couch!"

Y/N: "Nope. I'm taking the couch."

Isabelle: "No,staying at your place tonight is already enough of a burden for you,mayor."

Y/N: "I really don't mind,please. Also,you don't have to call me mayor."

Isabelle: "Now that I think about it,I didn't really catch your name."

Y/N: "Oh yeah! It's Y/N."

Isabelle: "Y/N... that's a really nice name."

Y/N: "We should really get some shuteye now. I'm exhausted."

She yawns.

Isabelle: "Me too."

Y/N: "Okay then,good night,Isabelle."

Isabelle: "Good night,Y/N."

She said, rubbing her eye as she made her way to the bedroom. I got comfy on the couch before dozing off.

'Tomorrow's another day.'
