You came to the chateau for the summer. So far you had been amazed by all the sights, food, people, and especially the vast library of books from all around the world. Ancient scrolls, and classical texts filled the tall wooden shelves inside Lestats grand library. David once mentioned to you that he would always find Lestat bragging about how impressive the library was, the memory always made you laugh. Lestat was right to begin with, the library was impressive. You could find pretty much any book in this library, and if he did not have it he would make sure he did. David found it amusing that you loved the books so much.
One afternoon he showed you the impressive collection, leaving you even more fascinated. "These texts are from all around the world Y/N, some dating back to the beginning of time. Or at least that's how Lestat explained it." he said to you. He ran his fingers down the spine of a particular book, he then took it off the shelf. Smiling at the cover. "Ah I remember this one, I could never put this one down." he said. You looked at the cover which read The News of the World. "I know that one too! the story of Captain Kidd is really fascinating, I found it incredible at how he traveled throughout the western parts of the United States reading the News from all around the world, not just our own country but others as well." you said. David was surprised that you knew that book. "Well from what I heard it is a movie as well, we should watch it sometime." you said. David had no idea it was made into a film, he gladly accepted the offer.
You were looking around when something came to your mind "David, are there any books on vampire lore? like a history of them?" you asked. David was surprised. "Why yes there is! come let me show you." he said, gesturing for you to follow him. He led you to the back of the library where Lestat kept a large collection of books and scrolls containing the supernatural. David selected a book off the shelf and handed it to you. You got very excited and ran off to go read it. David chuckled to himself and then continued to look around before selecting a scroll to read. You spent pretty much the entire afternoon reading. The stories were so fascinating but one name in particular kept coming up as you read leaving you curious.
"Marius." you muttered. The name made you curious to find out more information about this man. You quizzed David about the man, making him laugh. He told you many stories about Marius, which made you even more fascinated than before. "Is he still alive?" you asked. David nodded. "Why yes he is, he does appear very often. If you're lucky he might come here." he said. "David? may I see you for a moment?" called a voice. David looked up to see Jesse standing there. "I will be right back." he said before getting up. He left to speak with Jesse. Which gave you the opportunity to look up more information about Marius. You found a book containing an address in Rome. "There we go!" you whispered in excitement.
You sat down at one of the desks and wrote a letter to Marius, when it was finished you sealed the letter with a wax seal before addressing the letter. Leaving Marius's address in the center and the address to the chateau in the upper left hand corner. Placing a stamp in the right hand corner. you heard pandora call for you and got up to see her, leaving the letter on your desk. When you returned the letter was gone, causing you to gasp. "What?! Where did it go?" you looked around for it, thinking it fell off the desk but it was not there. Horrified you asked around, no one seemed to know about it. The last person to ask was Louis. You found him writing away at his desk in his room, he looked up knowing you were there. "Ah Y/N, please come in." he said with a smile. His expression changed when he noticed your worried look. "What's the matter Y/N?" he asked. "I left a letter at my desk in the library, when I returned it was gone. I asked everyone in the castle but I'm afraid no one seems to know, I am wondering if you might know where it is." you said. "Oh that letter, yes, it was sent not long ago." he said. "oh my god." you muttered while blushing. you spoke with Louis for a few minutes before running off to your room. Louis smiled and continued his writing. It was always nice to see you around.
A few days later David knocked at your door and asked for you to come downstairs, you wondered why that was. You asked him and he said that someone wished to see you. you blushed and followed him to the foyer. You blushed even more when you noticed Lestat was speaking with someone, it didn't take you long to realize it was Marius. "it seems your wish came true." said David, winking at you. "Shut up." you giggled. David chuckled and then brought you over to meet him. "Hello David." said Marius. you blushed at the sound of his voice, which had a bit of an accent. "It is good to see you again Marius." said David, shaking Marius's hand. "Marius I'd like to introduce you to my niece, Y/N L/N." said David, introducing you to Marius.
"Nice to meet you Marius." you said, extending a hand for him to shake. Marius, being the gentleman that he was, kissed your hand and smiled. "And you as well miss Y/N." you blushed at how formal he was. David was speaking with Lestat while you were talking to Marius, every now and then glancing at you. He chuckled and rolled his eyes every time Marius flirted with you. earning a laugh from Lestat. "I suppose I am not the only one who can easily charm a woman." teased Lestat. David laughed. He continued his conversation with Lestat, all the while Marius was flirting with you.
