He always wins

You were on the couch typing away on your laptop, and writing in a small notebook. You were finishing the last of your schoolwork. It was very late at night and you had been working on the assignment all day. You were in college majoring in art and photography. You really enjoyed learning more about what you were passionate about and you were doing well in all of your classes. You couldn't be any more proud of yourself, and Marius was proud as well. He was glad that you were doing well. The clock struck midnight and you were almost done with the last of your work when suddenly Marius came into the room. He saw that you were still working, he sighed. "My dear Y/N, it is quite late. why don't you come to bed." he suggested. you shook your head slightly. "Not yet love, I'm almost done. I'll be upstairs in a few minutes." you said. Marius wouldn't have it, he came and sat next to you. Playing with your hair and leaving kisses on your neck. You couldn't help but tilt your head back and laugh. "Stop! I have to finish this" you laughed. "Please?" he pleaded. You looked at him and saw that look in his eyes. The one that told you he really was desperate. You laughed. "Alright, I guess it can wait until morning." you said closing the laptop and placing it on the coffee table, along with your notebook and pen. Marius suddenly picked you up bridal style, making you laugh as he brought you upstairs to the bedroom. He laid down next to you and held you in his arms. As you laid there with him he said "Don't worry about the assignment darling, you always do well. And I can promise you that you will be just fine." those words really meant a lot to you. You smiled knowing you would ace that assignment. You thanked him while yawning and soon enough you fell asleep in his arms. Marius smiled at your sleeping form, he kissed your forehead and turned out the lights. Tired as well. Needless to say he always won.
