That night a thunderstorm came through, the winds howled and the rain came down hard. There was also a lot of thunder and lightning. You were in your room trying to sleep, you tossed and turned until you finally sat up in bed. The room was dark, and the lightning flashed through the windows. Lighting up the dark room. You tried to ignore the terrible storm but you couldn't, it was very loud, making it difficult to sleep. Suddenly the lightning flashed twice and you heard a very loud clap of thunder. This frightened you.
The storm was very bad that night and you were scared that it wouldn't pass, although it would end soon. The second clap of thunder was even louder. You gasped. your heart pounded in your chest. you sighed and held your face in your hands. "Ugh, when will this end." you whispered to yourself. Before you could try to go back to sleep you heard a soft knock at your bedroom door. You looked in the direction of the door to see Marius standing there. "I'm sorry to wake you love, I just wanted to see if you were alright." he said.
"It's alright Marius, it's just...I can't sleep." you said. Marius walked over and sat down next to you in bed. "Would you like me to stay with you?" he asked. You nodded. "Yes please, if it isn't too much trouble" you said. Marius shook his head. "No not at all love." he said. You smiled as he climbed into bed with you. He wrapped his arms around you and you cuddled with him.
You could hear his soft heartbeat as you lied there with him, and you felt yourself relax. You got very comfortable in his arms and slowly fell asleep in his arms. "I love you Marius." you said falling asleep. Marius smiled. "I love you too y/n." he said. He leaned down and kissed your forehead. He spent the rest of the night with you, keeping you safe in his arms. Soon enough he fell asleep with you.
