Ah, three am. A time of peace, of quiet tranquility. A time where a girl can actually get some sleep!
Or at least that's what it was supposed to be.
Unfortunately, the phone had started ringing and just would not stop for anything, so on the fifth ring, Aika Sato had sat up in her bed, grumbling as she threw her blankets back to search for the damn thing.
As soon as she'd recovered it and pressed talk, she was greeted by frantic nonsense on the other line.
Who? She wondered. Who is calling right now?!
She paused, pulling the phone away from her ear long enough to check the caller ID.
Her heart stopped, nearly making her drop the phone.
It was Dabi!
Oh, it'd been so long since he or Hawks had called!
It was unbelievable, really. She just loved him so much!

Once the phone was back to her ear though, her heart stopped for another reason.
"Please, kid! I don't know who else can heal that'll drop everything and come to me," Dabi was saying. "I'll give you anything- just please.."

So. Hawks was gone?
Hawks was gone and she didn't even get to say goodbye..

There was no time to talk anymore. No time to wait, no time to waste. She dropped her phone, shoving clothes into her backpack as fast as she possibly could. It was now or never.

He needed saving!

...

Cold. Cold like gray and ice and mountains. Metal. Metal like shipwrecks and bloodied swords once used in battle.
Dark. Dark like midnight and nightmares.
This was all Hawks could tell of his surroundings.
Thick cloth covered his eyes, digging into the skin on his head to give the most sickening headache. Chains wrapped around his wrists, binding them so tightly together that it was a wonder they hadn't grown into one limb yet.
His wings and legs, while both pretty numb, seemed to be trapped in an entirely different space than the rest of him. Perhaps a false wall was in place?
Whatever the case was, his feathers were stuck there and the only way to get them out was through himself.
While he'd normally take that chance and stab himself, he it was most certainly unwise to do so now without any knowledge of anything else around.
He tilted his head slightly to test if it was possible, which he soon found it was- though that knowledge came at a price. His neck popped loudly at the slight movement, his muscles screaming in pain.

He must've been out of it and stuck there for a while.
Where there was and how he'd ended up there was a mystery. After being taken in that.. that thing's grasp, everything just went black.
And apparently that's how it was going to stay for a while.

His poor heart ached at the thought of Touya- his dearly beloved that had been left behind. He was sure he'd escape this nightmare soon, but all he hoped was that his boyfriend didn't blame himself for this mess.
Though, it was kinda his fault that Keigo had gone out there in the first place.

There was no time to play the blame game though. No, now was the time to focus on getting back to freedom.
Besides, that blindfold needed off before he came to his senses enough to panic over it.
So, he twisted his wrists just a bit. Much to his dismay, they were clasped incredibly tightly by those wretched chains, so that was going to do no good. The chains themselves seemed to be tethered a decent distance though since he could sit up and still let them stretch above his head or kiss the floor without issue.
He shifted his wings. They hit something within mere inches of where they sat at rest, so clearly, whoever and captured him knew not to give those much freedom. But, hey, that didn't narrow it down one bit.

All he needed was a plan. He could already see one, actually.

First, he needed to get the blindfold off so he could get a rough understanding of what he was dealing with.
Then, he needed to get his wings and hands free- whichever came first didn't really matter since one would lead to the other.
And lastly, he needed to get out of there.
