Aftermath...

After the Grand Hero's Ball back in April, things had become utter chaos.
Heroes were demanding Hawks be removed from the ranks and stripped of his license or even quirk.
The Commission had stepped into things but barely made a sound in all the noise.
He definitely would've been stripped of his wings, doomed to be a flightless bird, if it weren't for the people.
Thanks to the build up of supporters that Aika Sato had provided, along with fans of the DankVillains69 channel, Hawks was able to continue his work.
Most things were the same, though he did get dirty looks and would catch people whispering about his sexuality and his lover.
One day he had lost it on someone, saying he couldn't help how he felt- that it wasn't his dick he was thinking with, but his heart.
After a ton of pulled strings and convincing, Endeavor managed to make it so Dabi could walk freely.
Jeff had been placed in charge of monitoring the villain's actions.
Most people argued that it was wrong and unjust to let such a monster roam the streets scotch free after all the pain and suffering he had caused, but a select few had come forth bearing witness that the scarred man had saved their lives from abusers when even heroes had shunned them.
So, much to the public's disappointment, Dabi was able to go on living a life like anyone else.
Hawks openly talked about their relationship in interviews in hopes of making people see that not everyone titled 'villain' was truly bad. He also hoped that it would open their eyes and let people realize that sometimes, you fall in love with the wrong person, but that doesn't make them the wrong person for you.

...

Hawks looked up from his steaming mug with a wide grin.
Dabi sat across from him, totally immersed in a book.
When the dark haired man looked up, he returned the smile. "What are you staring at, Feathers?"
"My favorite person in the whole world."
Dabi chuckled. Setting his book aside, he leaned in closer to the hero.
His shoulders were showing from his tank top, the scars patched up to the rest of his torso with jutting staples.
"That so?"
Hawks closed his eyes, just wanting to savor this moment.
Life had truly come together in the most beautiful way.
He silently thanked Endeavor for all the sacrifices he had made so they could be together.
A warm hand trailed down his lose shirt, making him jump.
Glancing back, he found Dabi had moved to stand behind his chair.
"You know, it's been a while since we had any fun, babe."
Hawks rolled his eyes at that. "Don't call me that. Second-" he pulled the other man's hand back out if his shirt. "We literally just did it last week."
Dabi rested his head in the hero's shoulder, pouting. "But that was a whole week ago!"
"No."
"Please?"
"No."
"Come on!"
Hawks let out an exasperated sigh, throwing his hands up in defeat. "Fine! But only because I know if I don't go willingly you'll make me ruin these pants too."
Dabi picked him up, grinning like a kid on Christmas.
Truth be told, Hawks was always down to play with his boyfriend. He just liked being difficult about it.
Besides, he figured it would be smart to let the man pound out any frustration before he broke the big news...
Hawks just hoped he wouldn't be mad..

...

Toshinori Yagi smoothed out his shirt before knocking on the door.
It was still odd to him, wearing clothes that properly fit his true form, but in a way it was also nice.
A moment later the door swung open, revealing a boy with messy green hair and freckles.
"All Might? What are you doing here?"
Okay.
Remember. It's alright if he declines.
He's been working so hard these past few months.
"Young Midoriya! I've come to ask you if you would like to accompany me on a top secret mission."
The boy's eyes lit up. "No way! I mean- yes! What kind of mission is it?"
All Might smiled, stepping into the room.

...

Dabi couldn't shake the feeling that something was off.
Hawks had been acting funny all week. He even turned down chicken!
Whenever he asked how he was, the hero would just wave it off, saying he was perfectly fine. That only made him all the more paranoid.
He wouldn't cheat so that was out of the question.
Right?
Dabi had gotten Hawks to agree to a quick hookup earlier in the day just so he would have an excuse to discreetly check for any new self harm marks.
Much to his relief, there were none.
So what was wrong?
He glanced over at the hero, who was passed out, curled against him.
I hope everything is okay with you birdie. I have a big question I want to ask and I don't think it can wait much longer.
The villain placed a gentle kiss on his forehead.
After all the heartache and pain they had endured in the last several months, it was so nice to just be able to take time to themselves.
Just enjoy each other's company, you know?
Dabi's thoughts were interupted by his phone letting out a soft ping.
Glancing down, he found that there was a notification for a new upload to DankVillains69.
He smiled as he pressed the notification, Shigaraki's face filling up his screen.
It had only been two weeks since Dabi had last seen the League, but he missed them.
He found it funny how Shigaraki had continued dying his hair new colors after the Ball.
Right now, it was half purple and half blue.
Maybe I should try something different with my hair too.
Who knows?
Maybe red will look good on me.
