"You better not have had gotten into a fight."
Enji looked up from where he was sitting on the bed. "Oh my gosh I fucking swear-"
Hawks rolled his eyes as he clicked off his phone. "He's your damn son."
He took a deep breath, willing himself not to get angry before they even knew what was happening.
A knock sounded at the door, making them both freeze.
Enji jumped to his feet, racing over and throwing the door open wide.
His heart practically exploded with relief upon seeing Dabi standing there. He pulled him into a tight hug. "Oh thank Rei!"
The former villain squirmed in his grasp, trying to pull away.
"Fuck off!"
The dark haired man pushed away from him, smoothing his jacket down with hurried motions as if he were brushing ants off.
Hawks came around the corner, grabbing Dabi by the wrist and dragging him into the room.
"Look at you. You're covered in blood!"
He gestured up and down at the red smears down his face and shirt.
What happened?
"Son, is Midoriya okay?"
The former villain whirled on him, pointing an accusing finger. "I am not your son!"
"I'm sorry I just-"
"Fuck off. You aren't sorry for shit! I wish I was never born!"
And with that, he stomped off, going out to sit on the balcony.
Hawks stared after him with wide golden eyes.
Enji sighed, running a hand through his hair.
He plopped down on his bed, the matress sinking under his weight. With downcast eyes, he saw the hesitant approach of brown boots.
The smaller hero stopped in front of him, taking a deep breath.
"Endeavor-san?"...
Dabi glanced back over his shoulder, trying not to lose control of his quirk.
The air out on the balcony was nice but as soon as he saw his boyfriend kneeling in front of his father, his mood was further ruined.
Was it really his own fault he got into a fight?
The guy in the bathroom had tried to attack him- it was just self defense!
Would everyone always see him like this? As nothing more than a wild monster who can't control himself?
For fuck's sake! He wasn't that exploding kid they kidnapped!
He was his own damn person.
Dabi leaned against the railing, letting his head hang.
The sunset was a beautiful gold with streaks of crimson, making the sky look like an oil painting.
Had the mood been different, maybe he would've brought his little bird out there and finally popped that question.
But the mood wasn't different.
It was sour and bitter and left his skin tingling with anger.
The fire in him wanted to belt out and scream an angry cacophony of chaos.
He couldn't do that though.
If he let it out it'd be a complete nightmare.
Whether he wanted to admit it or not, they weren't in Japan anymore.
Dabi ran a shaking hand through his hair, sweeping it out of his eyes.
The air here in America tasted different, and he wasn't sure he liked it.
They hadn't even been here a full day and he already wanted to go home.
Would they even get to go home..?...
Hawks felt a cold shiver shoot up his spine, having the distinct feeling of being watched.
Something was wrong with him.
His shoulders felt heavy.
He shouldn't be telling Endeavor this- it's literally irrelevant to anything right now.
Why can't I just shut up?
"That's why I always bothered you, Endeavor-san."
Shut up.
He gave a small shrug. "Because, I always kind of..."
Shut up!
Endeavor looked at him for a long moment with piercing blue eyes. The winged hero could see now that the big man and Dabi's eyes were different.
Endeavor's eyes were always hard like the rest of his features, but Dabi's had always been soft and deadly mysterious- their blues slightly different from each other. Though, one could only notice when you were around the two men enough.
"What are you saying, Hawks?"
"I'm saying I've crushed on you since I was a kid."
You dumbass.
What the hell did you just say?
You don't feel like that!
It was a celebrity crush situation-
"I-" the flame hero paused, watching him for a moment. "I'm sorry, i- I didn't know."
Hawks plopped down on his bed, his stomach churning- not from rejection but from something else.
He wasn't in control of what he was doing. He could almost see strings on his wrists and neck, pulling his movements.
"Don't worry about it, big guy! I'm banging your son now so, that's fun. Can't help but wonder how you are in bed though."
Ew what the hell?
What's wrong with me?
A shadow cast over him from the edges of his vision.
Hawks swallowed anxiously, feeling a weight suddenly gone from his shoulders.
He took a deep breath, finding that he could control himself again.
Sparing a glance over to the side he found Dabi there, standing still, watching him like a Hawk.
The hero swallowed the lump in his throat. "I can explain."...
It's odd being in my thoughts all alone like this.
Leaving everyone was difficult.. but I'll see them soon-
I hope.
Dabi had better be taking care of himself in America with his bird brained bitch or I'm going to kill them both when they return.
Wait-
Will they return before I wake up?
How long will I be asleep?
Oh no..
Did I just damn myself to be the next sleeping beauty?
But I don't want a prince to wake me-
I don't want anyone to kiss me and get me going-
I guess that shouldn't be what my concern is...
What if I sleep for years?
What if the League dies and I don't get to say goodbye?
What if I die here- cold and alone?
Fuck...
Why did I ever come to you, All for One?
