Aniruddh' P.O.V :
It was a scary night. Yes..the roads were lonely and lifeless. No lights were on in the houses of tulsipur. It seemed as if whole village was lifeless. Houses were shut. No stars could be seen in the sky. Even the moon was hid by the dark clouds , as if all the good memories and moments were hid by evil things. Only the complete dark sky. The sound of night insects and horrifying barking of dogs accompanied us. No cool breeze was felt. I could only hear the tingling sound of payels and the heavy breathing of Ramaiyya and Bondita. It was giving a chill through my spine. No one can think even in their dream that the crowded markets of tulsipur were deserted. It is said that silence gives you peace and a calm feeling. But today, it was giving me terror. It made me afraid. I saw Bondita turning back and looking towards me with a slight fear in her eyes. I blinked my eyes in assurance to pacify her. She gave a descent smile and turned back.
As soon as we reached the Mahila ghar, the scene horrified me. The place was just opposite to that of we were running till now. There was so much brightness, the brightness in late night that terrorises you. So much ruckus !!! I saw villagers shouting something , with lanterns and fire lights in their hands. Many even had big thick sticks and other sharp weapons. I turned towards Mahila ghar. I saw Suraiyya, Badal and Ilaichi , standing fiercefully at the entrance. Inside was Bholi with a girl, pacifying and supporting her. Wait!!! A girl? Who is she? Is she new to Mahila ghar? Why didn't anyone informed me? Are the villagers searching her? A storm of questions was forming in my mind. Suddenly I heard a familiar voice.
"Aap andar nahi jaa sakte Babumoshai." She yelled at them.
I suddenly looked beside me and realised both of them had reached the scene.
"Dekhiye aap choti malkin hai isiliye aapka lihaaj rakhte hai hum lekin bhuliye mat aap bhi ek aurat hai aur aurato ko unki asli jagah dikhani aati hai mujhe." Said madanlaal sahukaar.
"Kya horaha hai yaha par? " I entered the scene.
"Kuch nhi chote malik. Aapki patni ne apni toh grihasti barbaad kardi aur ab humare bacchiyon pe nazare daal rahi hai." Uttered Laxmi.
I gazed at her. She was looking angrily towards them.
"Joh galat hai voh galat hi hai!! Aap aise hi apne faisle kisipe thope nahi sakte."
Now it was getting on my nerves. No one was ready to tell me what has happened. Bondita is in full mood to fight and villagers are busy to pass taunts to her.
"Koi mujhe batayega yaha kya horaha hai?" I shouted being irritated.
The villagers stood numb for a moment. The feeling of fear was clearly visible in their eyes.
"Main batati hoon!" Came the girl sobbing.
"Inhone aaj mujhpe hath uthaya hai dada. Mujhe ab inke sath nahi rehna hai. Ye dabaav daal rahe hai mujhpe. Mujhe toh padh likh ke ek shikshika hona hai. Lekin yeh log mana kar rahe. Inki baat nahi maani isiliye maarte hai mujhe ghar pe."
I was fuming with anger. How could someone be so cruel , so heartless. Not letting a girl to study.
"Aye ladki!! Jhoot mat bol. Humne aisa kuch bhi nahi kiya hai. Humare khilaf bhadka rahi hai unhe. Bhool mat hum tumhare maa baap hai." Said madanlaal.
"Nahi hai!! Ab main aapko apna nahi maanti. Arrey joh maata pita apne hi beti ke par kaat de, unhe maa baap nahi kehte. Pehle main aapka bohot samman karti thi lekin ab nahi. Aur iske zimmedaar aap hi hai. "
She said this pointing her fingers towards them. It hurted their ego.
"Ladki hoke ungli dikhati hai !!"
